Open thread for Sunday, June 28th: ‘Painkiller’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, June 28th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we finally made it back to double digits by covering 10 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
For this week’s musical selection I give you a band I have been getting into a little bit recently on Pandora; this is a band called Three Days Grace and the song is entitled “Painkiller.”
Enjoy, but be forewarned that there are a couple of F-Bombs in the introduction. (Also, is the singer sporting a Monster logo on the side of his head?)

Goodmorning, SDL! I can see that happening here and in the near future. There is so much heated tension in the air, something will have to blow. Our Administration is fueling the fire, that is where the shame is! This song has the same beat as The Sopranos theme song had, it is catchy.

I believe those are scenes from a movie that is being made about America in the future. If this is what I think it is Zip shared the trailers for it. I forget what it is called, I am sure Zip can remind me.

I liked them, but you know what? If you close your eyes and listen to the song, you get an entirely different concept of who the band is. Then when you open them, you see some hard core looking dudes….I guess I have never done that before….don’t mind me, it is Sunday and I was just thinking and I know that is a dangerous thing for me to do. 😉

I have heard about all the banker suicides but I had not heard of the scientist suicides before, and now it is spreading to doctors? Were these “science denier” scientists by any chance…

These are those who uphold alternative medicine and speak the truth about Big PHarm, the harmful affects of Vaccines and things like that (GMO potatoes that give rats tumors).

But we have been told that GMO is SAFE! They try and shut up anyone that doesn’t have the opinion that THEY want you to have….we need to find out exactly who THEY are! Not everyone is as stupid as THEY think we are.

You know, Zip, there would have been a time I would have questioned a film like this, but now? I just do not believe in coincidence anymore, all this happens for a reason. I know people say ones that believe it are conspiracy nuts,,,,really? How can you not believe it now? This is happening again and again and maybe there are a few more of us than we know that are finally, if nothing else, questioning what is happening. It seems that so much just does not add up in most cases. When I did Emergency Management, we did alot of drills and they were VERY believable, right down to the actors, normally college students that were made up by the theater groups…very authentic looking. They were told what was wrong with them and the fire/ems/police had to treat them as such. You had all the hospitals and county officials that participated, as well. I was involved in writing some of the yearly scenarios, it was play acting, but it WAS good. Now, I see this and it sends up a red flag to me, because there is always something a bit “off” when I see it…

Thanks Lou, appreciate your insight. It’s important to be ‘trained in’ and such, but when these ‘drills’ are feed to the public as ‘real’ and use them to forward the ‘Perverted Agenda’ it needs to be shown for what it is.

County wide drills are required a certain amount of times a year. They can be all out enacted ones or they can be table top drills that are simulated and less complicated and you need less participants. We had the usual bus crashes, we had chemical spills, we had nuclear plant drills down to using the dosimetry equipment to keep track of radiation. All the dosimeters had to be calibrated as if it were really happening. We had the stats board that keep track of who, where and when. We had people that planned ahead for what would be needed in long term. Evacuation was another thing to consider in the event of a Nuclear plant issue or to shelter in place. Radioactive plumes were kept track of by the weather stations. We had all the hospitals and ambulance services that transported victims (ingress and egress routes set up along with communications), we set up triage units and marked the victims for staging areas, you had the EOC (emergency operations center) set up in the Emergency Services office, had all the high up officials in at the big table, all had their own dedicated phone line and the faxes were being brought in “real time” and passed out to keep all the officials updated on the operation. We had badges and you were not allowed in the EOC without one. Can this be totally believable? You bet it can.
