Bernie Sanders admits bringing in low-skilled illegal immigrants hurt jobs

July 31, 2015

Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders spoke at an event held by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and he had something very interesting to say about illegal immigration. Of course he backs amnesty and a pathway to citizenship; that goes without saying and is not what I found to be interesting.

What I found to be interesting was this:

“Should we have a completely open border so that anyone can come in the United States of America?” Sanders replied, after MSNBC’s Alex Seitz-Wald asked the Senator about his position. “If that were to happen, which I strongly disagree with, there is no question in my mind that that would substantially lower wages in this country.”

“When you have 36-percent of Hispanic kids in this country who can’t find jobs and you bring a lot of unskilled workers in the country what do you think happens to that 36-percent of kids of today who are unemployed? 51% of African-American kids?” he said.

For years the narrative, which started with George W Bush, which we were fed is that these illegal immigrants are only taking the jobs that Americans will not do and those of us who have disagreed with that statement have been called racists, radicals, and nativists for expressing an opinion which is no longer politically correct.

And now along comes good ole socialist Bernie Sanders and makes the same argument the conservatives have been making and it is not newsworthy? What do you think the mainstream media would be saying about these racist comments if it had been one of the Republican candidates who said something like this? I guess I answered that question in the question itself…

Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

The ignorant worry only that Obama has a job. For them unemployment is a small price to pay for having one of theirs on the throne. The people have no clothes…

I find it interesting Steve that he uses %’s – that high – to state unemployment! “36-percent of kids of today who are unemployed? 51% of African-American kids?” That sure goes against the supposed, what 5.6% unemployment number this regime is feeding the public.
Like that book, ‘Garbage in, Garbage out’ – we have a lot of Garbage feeders! If they did open the borders there might be a mass Exodus of real American’s into Mexico for jobs and a freer life! http://www.statista.com/statistics/263702/unemployment-rate-in-mexico/

Nice catch on those figures Zip! It’s true…those may very well truly represent what is happening in the US, not the 5.6% BS they are feeding us. We are in deeper trouble than than most know.

Isn’t it interesting that with an unemployment rate in the mid 5% ‘s during the Bush and Clinton years pretty much anyone could find employment while with Obama’s 5.6% unemployment rate one would have to blow an employer in Macy’s window to get considred for a non-existing job. Again, the first Kenyan president makes Jimmy- I have lust in my heart- Carter with 20% interest rates and 10% unemployment rates seem like a pretty kool kat 😎

Beside murdering people, this regime is killing jobs – on purpose.

Peter, this is a classic case of what we are talking about when we complain about media bias!

When are the unions going to catch on? Do they really think that these will be new members for their ranks
