Then vs now: Hillary Clinton on limiting debates

September 2, 2015

It would seem as though the Democratic party is trying to protect Hillary Clinton by limiting the number of debates during the Democratic primary season heading into the Iowa caucuses. This is not just right-wing propaganda as Martin O’Malley has been vocal on this issue, claiming that the DNC is trying to rig the system in order to protect the presumed front-runner, and Bernie Sanders has gone so far as to say the Democratic party is “dead wrong” for limiting debates while claiming “democracy benefits when we have debates.” (Of course democracy is a code word for socialism, but let that go.)

For her part, most likely because she is the front-runner and presumably stands to benefit from a limited debate schedule, Hillary Clinton has been silent on this issue. But apparently she did not always feel this way: Back in 2008, after Barack Obama became the front-runner, Hillary Clinton released a campaign ad calling out Barack Obama for not agreeing to more debates–claiming he would apparently rather give speeches than debate policy.

  Here is more:

Funny how that works, isn’t it…

I am in Central time, SDL! As for getting up this morning, guess just waking UP is worth it, but then reality sets in! Not sure why they had me down for 4am instead of 3am, but I looked at the clock when I was typi9ng, so “they” are wrong, haha! If I understand you correctly you are 6 or 7 hours behind me?

I have heard of King Crimson but I never heard them before. This was interesting and had a certain atmospheric sound to it, very different.

I know you are younger than some of us, Steve. but I have a feeling you are really sharp when it comes to knowing your groups. You cannot know ALL of them, but I would say you do a kick ass job of having alot of musical knowledge. SDL, you are a plethora (note how I slipped in that word 😉 , Steve) of musical knowledge, as well!

Thank you and yes that is a great word!
I have something a little different planned for tomorrow. Nothing obscure, I am sure everyone has heard of the band I will be posting, but something just a little bit different than usual.
