Carly Fiorina in 2013 admitted she supports the Obamacare individual mandate

September 24, 2015

Carly Fiorina appeared on Crossfire back in 2013 and while discussing Obamacare she was asked if she supported both the individual mandate and the provision which disallowed healthcare companies from denying coverage to people with preexisting conditions to which she replied, “I actually do agree with those two provisions.”

  Here is the video:

US-POLITICS-FIORINA One could possibly give Carly Fiorina the benefit of the doubt and her supporters might try to claim she misspoke but she clearly said she supported the TWO provisions and one of the provisions mentioned was the individual mandate.  But she was given a second chance to clarify what she said and she once again stated she was for both provisions.

Regardless of the Supreme Court decision, nobody will ever be able to tell me that it is Constitutional for the Federal government to mandate an individual purchase a product, nor will anyone ever be able to convince me the Federal government can penalize an individual for not entering a marketplace they are unwilling, or unable, to enter and I will never support a candidate who believes otherwise. Cross her off the list…

The video I provided is admittedly heavily edited but it is the only video I could directly link to. If you go to The Right Scoop you can watch a more intact video and you will see the video I provided did not alter her position in the least.

Carly Fiorina has repeatedly said that Obamacare should be repealed and replaced yet she supports what I consider to be the most offensive part of the legislation so one can assume that if as President she repealed Obamacare (pretending for a moment there is even a snowball’s chance in hell of repealing it, which there is not) that whatever she replaced it with would also include an individual mandate.

For starters how about investigating if she or any of her big donors have a vested interest in the Obamacare scheme.

Possibly in the next republican debate the moderator will ask the candidates for their perspective on Zerocare and their alternative if any…not!

We shall see about that Peter, Obamacare is here to stay in my opinion and its repeal is nothing more than a political ploy designed to fire up the base but I do not see anything actually happening to replace Obamacare.

Connect that too Peter with those who support the UN 2030, which is these types of dealings on steroids! “Agenda 2030 Translator: How to Read the UN’s New Sustainable Development Goals” http://truthstreammedia.com/2015/09/25/agenda-2030-b-s-translator-how-to-read-the-uns-new-sustainable-development-goals/ This is what the UN is discussing “It’s that time again: the United Nations is officially releasing the all new Agenda 2030 sustainable development plan, or what some have hailed as “the new Agenda 21 on steroids,” at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit kicking off today in New York City.”

When does a candidate propose the U.S. leave the UN? Probably never. I remember the first time I drove fromNJ to LA, seeing signs all along US Rte 66 reading Get out of the UN. This was in1969. This will not happen, ever.

Yep, even back then some people knew and stated it! The criminals are worse now. Maybe it just takes paying them more $$$ then their getting now – the kickbacks!
Peter, that must’ve been a neat drive back then on the old Rte 66! We lived in AZ back then and drove on it around Kingman, Ashford, William, Flagstaff. Some parts (sections) of that road still are open to drive on – Most closed off.

It is beyond time to get out of the UN but nobody is talking about it and even if they were there is no way they can make good on the promise, and they know this so if they did play lip service to this it would be just that and it would be said for political reasons alone.

Boner resigning? Had you watched any of Papa Lenin’s speech before congress yesterday you would have seen behind him Boner’s face and mouth going through all kinds of contortions. He looked alike a man in need of a flask.

Saying how the individual mandate was originally a conservative idea, one can probably find most conservative/Republican politicians at some point stating that they support it. But 2013… that is really recent.

For me, it’s a matter of Constitutionality. If a state wants an individual mandate, they have the authority to do that – as long as the People in that state are for it. However, the feds don’t have that authority – no where, no how – not under their commerce or taxing authority.

Doesn’t matter whose idea it was…unconstitutional is unconstitutional.

I agree with you and that is why when Romney defended the mandate in Romneycare while opposing the mandate in Obamacare he was actually right, but the American people do not understand the states can do things the Federal government cannot and that was part of Romney’s downfall.

I am one of the few who can honestly claim I was against all of this from the beginning. When Clinton was President, and I was a young Democrat, I wrote the President a letter opposing Hillarycare. It is true that the mandate was a Republican idea and many of the Republicans now have turned against it for clearly political reasons which is hypocritical but Carly’s support of it so recently is going to be a real problem for her.

Let me add; most people today probably do not realize this came from the Republicans and because they are unwares the public will blindly accept the premise they were always against it, while Carly’s recent support will not be seen as being with a position consistent with the Republican party’s original position.

It was a long time ago! Remember what Churchill said:”If you’re not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you’re not a conservative at forty you have no brain.”

It seems that the insurance comp.s have gotten around the pre-existing conditions (what, higher payments?). I heard on the show ‘Finder’ (Tv, now cancelled series) where the FBI (who’s a good one not a crumb), states to a crying mother, ‘Can we be in the real world for a moment’. When one has a ‘Utopian’ airy (head in the clouds) view of the world these mandates seem reasonable – not to give her an excuse at ALL – but not ‘reality’ worthy. If a ‘real group’ got in leadership of this Nation, these criminal laws could be corrected, under the Sprit of the Law. Steve: I guess you’ll have to cut her out of your pic. Darn, another hopeful one revealed to be too stained and UnConstitutionally conditioned.

You will notice I did not post that picture in this post! I will not post it again but I still think it was cool to meet a Presidential candidate one on one!

Old Rte 66. You know it Zip. There were more Stuckeys out there along the way then there were saloons in Hoboken. That was a pecs of Americana that no longer exists. The development of I-70 and I-40 put the coffin nails into what was once an unforgettable ride which I took more than once in my 62′ beetle than my 73 ‘super beetle. There is much to be said for the wanderlust of youth, vanished like Rte 66. C’est domage!
