Hillary Clinton: “I am going to get those guns out of people’s hands”
Hillary Clinton addressed the issue of gun control and she promised threatened that if the Congress did not work with her if she becomes President she will act alone through Executive Action. This should come as no surprise (if Barack Obama does not beat her to it) because the current President has been fairly effective using his pen and his phone in recent months, and with the Congress being unwilling or unable to stop him it has set a precedent all Presidents will follow in the future.
I believe that secretly the Republicans in the Congress are not upset over Barack Obama’s use of Executive Action because they want that power if they win the Presidency, so they put on this little facade of opposition while doing nothing. However through their own inaction they are relegating the Congress into irrelevance, but I digress…
Here is some of what Hillary Clinton said:
“I want to push hard to get more sensible restraints,” Clinton said on NBC’s “Today” show. “I want to work with Congress, but I will look at ways as president.”
“We need to make every politician who sides with [the NRA] to look in the eyes of parents whose kids have been murdered,” Clinton said. “The GOP counts on a dedicated group that scares politicians and says ‘We will vote against you’ … So we will take them on. We took them on in the ’90s; we’re gonna take them on again.”
She went on to talk about expanding background checks, closing the so-called gun show loophole, and cracking down on private gun sales but when she turned her attention to the fallacy of the assault weapons she said something that I found to be quite interesting:
“I’m going to try in every way, I am going to get those guns out of people’s hands.”
Maybe I am reading too much into it but that sure sounds like she is talking about gun confiscation to me and while she might only be talking about so-called assault weapons at this time we all know what happens when the government sets a precedent which goes unchallenged, it only expands as time goes on…

After Ponderosa ass violates the constitution with her pen and phone and the killings continue, then what? The gangs already have a dispensation to murder with impunity so who does she harass next?

she can do whatever she likes with her pen and phone. and the body count from the gangs will be minor compared to the body count of anyone stupid enough to think they can enforce whatever she passes by edict.
we’ve already had a 95%+ noncompliance rate to the NY and CT gun control acts. the police have done nothing because of three simple facts…they’re not stupid, you don’t poke a sleeping wolverine, and they’d like to go home at the end of their shift.

I didn’t know there was a 95% non-compliance rate in those states but I am not surprised the police are doing nothing, knowing that people are not just going to roll over on this is a good sign.
