Rush Limbaugh says Donald Trump’s recent comments on Ted Cruz ‘raises a red flag’

December 14, 2015

One of the things that is most frustrating to small time bloggers such as myself is being ahead of the curve on issues while being heard by a small crowd only to hear big time bloggers and big name conservative talk show hosts finally come around to your position days and sometimes weeks after you first reported what only recently these personalities have realized is the truth.

I am not trying to toot my own horn here but there have been several instances where I have heard these big names report as breaking news a position or a story that I have written about in some instances days after I first wrote about it and damn that gets under my skin. It is one of the reasons I do not listen to talk radio anymore…

Regular readers of America’s Watchtower know how I feel about Donald Trump so I do not need to go into depth about it, but Rush Limbaugh in his supposed war on the Republican establishment has gone all in on Donald Trump. In his (pretended?) anger at the Republican establishment and the mainstream media (yes, I question his motives) he has been blinded from reality by his zeal to show up the establishment and the mainstream media to prove both entities wrong. So much so that he is willing to defend a man with questionable, to say the least, conservative credentials. I am talking about none other than Donald Trump

Donald Trump recently attacked Ted Cruz when he said the Senator from Texas was “a bit of a maniac”  for actually doing what he has been promising to do–stand up to the Republican establishment–and this has finally led  Rush Limbaugh to admit, as I have been trying to say for weeks, that the billionaire businessman is not a true conservative. Finally a red flag has been raised with Rush Limbaugh.

Here is what he had to say about this development:

One thing, you know, my questioning here about the way Trump has gone after Cruz here, calling a maniac refusing to work with people in the Senate .. the reason I’m focusing on that folks, because that’s so unlike Trump. That’s a huge mistake. On paper it’s a huge mistake. Trump gets away with his mistakes. Such is the bond of loyalty that his support base has for him that he gets away with them. And I don’t think he’s made that many, don’t misunderstand.

But for any of you who are holding out hope that Trump is a genuine conservative. Genuine conservative, even in the Republican field, would not go after Cruz this way. So, that’s, it just raised a red flag for me, made me somewhat curious

Welcome to the party Rush but unfortunately due to your influence it might be too little too late, some of us have been questioning Donald Trump’s motives for months now while you have helped him to get where he is in the polls. Now that his nomination is almost secure you begin to question him? Where were you when it mattered and we had the chance to nominate someone who did not cause you to wave a red flag?

Trump stirred up the pot. It begins and ends there for me. Cruz is playing a pretty good head game.

Anyone who supports Cruz is a fool. Cruz is a liar, not to be trusted, and a naturalized citizen.

Yep, maybe only a.k.a. Obama can get away with not being a naturalized citizen. (who’s your real daddy?

I am starting to get the feeling Laura isn’t much of a fan of Cruz.

No, I don’t like people who take an oath to the Constitution and then spit on it. That group includes most all of our federal government.

Yeah Laura, it is a pretty narrow field we have there. Most of them only pay lip service to the Constitution during election season and the rest of the time they really don’t give a damn about it.

The one guy that I think cares about the Constitution more than any of the others is Rand Paul and he is going nowhere in the polls, I guess that tells us how most of the American people feel about the Constitution…

Dumbing down is working Steve. This new generation will think Freedom means ‘no protection’ and enslavement, no privacy keeps them safe.

Sadly you are right Zip. It has taken them many decades but they are finally molding the young people into good little statists.

If Cruz gets the nomination it is going to be interesting to watch how the people change sides on the issue of eligibility. People who claimed Obama wasn’t eligible are going to defend Cruz, while the people who defended Obama are going to claim Cruz isn’t eligible and they will use the opposition’s position to justify their new position.

It’s more than just being ineligible, I trust Cruz less than I trust Trump – and I don’t trust Trump at all. Cruz knows he isn’t eligible, yet he is lying and running anyway. That tells me a whole lot about the type of person Cruz is.

For all his bluster, Cruz hasn’t accomplished anything in the Senate. Cruz voted for the Corker bill and the TPA. Then made a big production how he was ‘fooled’ by McConnell on the TPA. If Cruz was such a Constitutionalist he never would have voted for bills that illegally changed the Constitutional procedures and division of powers.

Heidi Cruz worked for Goldman Sachs and the CFR. While on the CFR she was part of a committee planning for the unification of North America.

Cruz’s dad is a loony – part of the Dominion and Seven Mountains cult. He and some other dude anointed Cruz onstage as a ‘king’ bringing the riches to the priests. The Dominionists are a scary bunch – they want a theocracy using the laws of the Old Testament. Some openly advocate for the destruction of the Constitution.

Cruz gets an F on immigration. He went with Beck to the border for that ridiculous ‘Teddy Bear’ stunt when we had that surge of unaccompanied illegal minors crossing the border.

Cruz is a phony and a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I’m dismayed by how many people have been fooled by his act.

Dang Laura, I never heard of such folks. It ain’t just Muzzzies and Libs who are mentally diseased. The rest of the world must be made up of Walmart shoppers, like me. You’ve seen our pictures on websites? I gonna ask Walmart to move out Subway from our local to give us room to meditate.

The TPA was a very troubling vote Laura, that is for sure. I didn’t know this about his wife, thanks for filling me in!

Good points Laura. If he was ‘fooled’ by McConnell who else will he be fooled by? (and he wasn’t fooled, he’s lying). CFR, is not ‘for us’ but against (Hilly’s territory). Hadn’t heard of the 7MD, but notice they never apply that verse in the Bible, “sell all you have and give to the poor.” (That’s not in the OT, but you get what I mean – they only use what profits them). Thanks for sharing that knowledge L.
