NASA admits burning fossil fuel cools the planet
For many years we have been told that burning fossil fuels is a major factor in global warming but according to this story NASA is now admitting that in fact burning fossil fuels actually helps to cool the planet.

Major theories about what causes temperatures to rise have been thrown into doubt after NASA found the Earth has cooled in areas of heavy industrialisation where more trees have been lost and more fossil fuel burning takes place.
Environmentalists have long argued the burning of fossil fuels in power stations and for other uses is responsible for global warming and predicted temperature increases because of the high levels of carbon dioxide produced – which causes the global greenhouse effect.
While the findings did not dispute the effects of carbon dioxide on global warming, they found aerosols – also given off by burning fossil fuels – actually cool the local environment, at least temporarily.
The research was carried out to see if current climate change models for calculating future temperatures were taking into account all factors and were accurate.
A NASA spokesman said: “To quantify climate change, researchers need to know the Transient Climate Response (TCR) and Equilibrium Climate Sensitivity (ECS) of Earth.
And that is not all, it turns out deforestation also helps reflect sunlight:
“In a similar fashion, land use changes such as deforestation in northern latitudes result in bare land that increases reflected sunlight.”
It also turns out that NASA has known about the cooling effect burning fossil fuels has on the planet for quite some time but apparently did not feel the need to mention it before:
The spokesman said it was “well known” that aerosols such as those emitted in volcanic eruptions and power stations, act to cool Earth, at least temporarily, by reflecting solar radiation away from the planet.
And here is even more:
“As part of that calculation, researchers have relied on simplifying assumptions when accounting for the temperature impacts of climate drivers other than carbon dioxide, such as tiny particles in the atmosphere known as aerosols, for example.
Climate scientist Gavin Schmidt, the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York and a co-author on the study, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, said: “The assumptions made to account for these drivers are too simplistic and result in incorrect estimates of TCR and ECS.
“The problem with that approach is that it falls way short of capturing the individual regional impacts of each of those variables,” he said, adding that only within the last ten years has there been enough available data on aerosols to abandon the simple assumption and instead attempt detailed calculations.
In other words NASA “simplified” anything that might contribute to offset global warming right out of the models it uses to predict future global temperatures and I think we all know the reason why: as I stated above, we have been told for years that fossil fuels are destroying the planet and this is because there is a political agenda to the global warming hoax and it involves bringing down big oil but this did not fit into the equation.
So the equation is incomplete and apparently NASA has known it was incomplete for quite some time. Maybe this is why NASA has had to adjust the historical temperatures to create the illusion of global warming, the agency had to compensate for the cooling created by burning fossil fuels…

Ha, I think I will be a pretty tough “cookie” to crack, if they try to change my mind.
As I have said many times, Mother Earth will take care of herself. If we get too out of hand, she will do away with us. What we do has little effect on her in my estimation. I know we have global warming and global cooling and of course my favorite, climate change….that one is so much easier to get away with.
The UN needs to be kicked out of the US and we need to stop paying millions and billions to foreign countries to help them with their environment. How much do we think goes to the actual environmental issues and how much goes into the deep pockets of said DICTATORS? Hmmmm, I wonder!
I am sick of politically, racially and any other “ally” you can think of. Can’t we all just live our lives and forget all this crap that is being shoved at us on a daily basis. I don’t go out of my way to offend others and I just wish they would leave me the hell alone!
I do not need for this Administration to tell me how to live. Last time I checked I was over the age of needing a Mommy! Well, except when the clowns start appearing, but we will not talk about that here! Ok?

Since she moved to Brooklyn, NY and started working for this sustainability non-profit she has become someone I no longer recognize. It’s discouraging.

We all have relatives that have a difference of opinion and you wonder how they could possibly feel that way! She must have alot of very persuasive people around her on a daily basis to feel the way she does. We can only hope that something opens their eyes.

Laura, my oldest brother just turned 70, he has been a life long DEMOCRAT and voted for Obama TWICE! He has changed his tune. He is sorry he voted for him. I told him my reason for not voting for him was not because he was BLACK….you know that is what “they” wanted people to think if we did not vote for him. My reason was because he was wrong for the country and he has proven that many times over. If an “old dog” as he calls himself will not vote the way he has voted for years, again…guess there is hope for some of these young-uns.

My whole family is conservative. My ex-husband’s family is not, but after my ex-husband and I got married, he became conservative. Our kids were raised with our values and morals.
It’s taken less than three years for her to completely flip on everything she’s ever believed.
