Paul Ryan hammers Barack Obama over proposed Executive Actions on gun control

January 4, 2016

Having just recently capitulating on Barack Obama’s agenda by teaming up with the Democrats to pass a spending bill which funds all of the President’s agenda Paul Ryan has now come out swinging against Barack Obama’s proposed Executive Actions on gun control.

  Here is more:

“We should also better enforce the laws we have on the books now to keep guns out of the hands of violent criminals. Instead, the president is again targeting law-abiding citizens, intruding further into innocent Americans’ lives. At a time when the country wants the president to lead the fight against radical Islamic terror, this is yet another attempt to divide and distract from his failed policies,” Ryan said in a statement.

“Ever since he was a candidate, President Obama’s dismissiveness toward Americans who value the Second Amendment has been well-documented,” said Ryan. “He acts as if the right to bear arms is something to be tolerated, when in truth – as the Supreme Court reaffirmed in 2008 – it is fundamental. The same goes for the Constitution and its limits on executive power.

“We all are pained by the recent atrocities in our country, but no change the president is reportedly considering would have prevented them. We have seen consistently that an underlying cause of these attacks has been mental illness, and we should look at ways to address this problem,” Ryan said.

“While we don’t yet know the details of the plan, the president is at minimum subverting the legislative branch, and potentially overturning its will. His proposals to restrict gun rights were debated by the United States Senate, and they were rejected,” he said.

“No president should be able to reverse legislative failure by executive fiat, not even incrementally. The American people deserve a president who will respect their constitutional rights – all of them. This is a dangerous level of executive overreach, and the country will not stand for it,” Ryan added.

paul-ryan I happen to agree with much of what Paul Ryan said, but talk is cheap and his actions speak louder than his words. Rand Paul was on a local talk show today and he was asked about Barack Obama’s proposed gun Executive Actions and Rand Paul had some interesting comments: The Senator from Kentucky, and Presidential hopeful, basically said that Paul Ryan has already funded any future Executive Actions because Barack Obama now has the money he needs and he can basically fund whatever he wants to. Rand Paul continues by stating that Paul Ryan and the Republicans who “abdicated their power, abdicated their duty” because they were more interested in keeping the government open than in making sure the government only spent the money that came it there is not much that can be done at this point in the Congress.

Rand Paul then goes on to say that if the Republicans had let the funding expire the Democrats would have to come to them looking for funding for things such as Planned Parenthood and they would need 60 votes, this would have put the power in the Republicans’ hands but instead the Democrats have the power. You can listen to the interview here, skip to the 6:00 minute mark to hear what he said about this but do not read the transcript because it was badly done.

Paul Ryan is saying the right things here but because of him Barack Obama will be able to carry out these Executive Actions so it is pretty clear to me he is just making these statements for political reasons in an attempt to gin up the base before an election when in reality he is responsible for giving Barack Obama the money to do what he wants and I think you all know, if you have been reading America’s Watchtower for any length of time, that this is nothing more than the Hegelian Dialectic on full display. (Paul Ryan said the country will not stand for this, but apparently when push comes to shove he will.)

To call Paul Ryan a two faced phoney politically expedient suckling feeding off Nancy Pelisi’s shriveled up liver spotted teats would be an understatement; but let’s say it anyway. And the Al Gore beard is a nice touch as it reminds us whose side he’s on. Anybody miss John Boehner yet?

The divisive language doesn’t seem to represent Ryan’s full cooperation. Why is it that no one is listening to the people who talk commonsense?

I don’t get it either, the establishment just keep misreading the elections and for some reason they always think they have to move to the left.

I do not think they are misreading, instead they know exactly what they are doing and moving to the left is exactly where they want to move.

There are a couple of parts of Barak the Great’s Exec Order that bother me, but not that much. The stuff about new categories of licensed sellers really shouldn’t affect very many people and I’m willing to bet it can be tied up in court until we have a new President. It’s an almost completely unenforceable rule anyway.

The itchiest part is the business about having your Doctor report to the FBI if you’re competent to keep your guns. There is already an exception if your Doctor thinks you’re a danger to yourself or others, so what has actually changed? I’d like to hear how that one plays out in detail.

Also, you trust your doctor with your life, how much do you actually trust him/her?

Unless there’s something a lot worse than I’ve seen so far, we have just witnessed one of the dying spasms of a defeated man.

Gun control is one of the few areas where overall we can claim victory. All across the country, with very few exceptions, firearms laws have gotten better, not worse over the last 7 years. No national magazine bans, no national “assault” weapons bans, no ammo bans, nothing Obama tried to pass on gun control made it and all he was left with was some relatively petty details.

Fast n Furious brings to light that it’s this Administration (as well as previous ones) that supple the drug lords and gangs with guns! The criminals in charge just don’t want regular people to have guns to go up against their DHS squad intruders. Boston Marathon + Fast n Furious mentality = reason for American Citizens to be armed! Problem is the source needs to taken down rather than their pawns.

The reports that doctors will be able to report a person to the FBI is the part that bothers me as well, and with Obamacare we will begin to see the doctor/patient privilege begin to erode as the government gets more involved.

Yes, too bad the evil ones corrupted even the clowns – anything that’s of goodness and brightness the ugly liars purpose to distort and corrupt (making it in their own image, which is tragic). Actors/Actresses will confess that it’s easier to play the part of the villain and ‘more fun’ then acting the part of a respectable, honest and self-less person of integrity! Shows our basic nature and how some ‘go with that unrestrained flow’ feeding their lusts and desires while sucking the life out of others to do it! That’s why we long for true Goodness to Reign. One day He will (and he won’t be the fake one that’s due on the stage shortly, deceiving many).

For the umpteenth time quoting the great Dr Michael Savage, “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”

Yep Peter, I was thinking that the evil war lords that boss Bari and others in the US Gov. are worse than commies or socialist – Putin’s speech can be an example. You’re right about the massacres that have gone on and ‘continue’ to go on and those who do their evil-dark deeds claim ‘victim-hood’ while they proceed to wipeout more pervertedly than what came before (actually their the ‘same’ entity in a sense). It’s like ‘do it for the children’, when they’re the ones promoting abortions and doing unspeakable,/i> things. It’s difficult to believe the truth of how this show really is – who rules vs who we were told or ‘made to believe’! Best to be like a strong tree, which learned to bend in the many storms of life and continues to dig its roots deeply in the soil of Truth and Love, regardless of what comes against it!

I do not think there is alot of change on the gun control laws that he is trying to push thru, either. They are subtle changes, but still pushing against us and nudging us to the left. However or BUT, my concern is that it is left up to the doctor IF he thinks you are unstable enough to have guns or not. I remember something about taking meds for depression or anxiety that were going to have a bearing on whether you could have guns, as well. How many people have to take meds at different stages of their lives because of a death or divorce, etc..and then get off of them. Is this retroactive back thru your medical records? Now, we can see why they want electronic medical records…there IS a method to their madness and it is MADNESS! Wasn’t there also an issue about being able to turn in someone you thought was unstable and they would confiscate weapons for 21 days? I wonder how hard it will be to prove you do not have a problem and how you would get your weapons back? Does someone just show up at your front door and break it down? Have not heard any more on that lately. I guess after reading about AG Lynch backing down to selling 1 gun and having to have a license, that sent up my antenna. That might be the big difference in all that I have read….it sounded like even if you were selling to a friend or family member, you would have to apply for a license, time consuming AND costly. I thought you could “gift” a gun to a family member, but maybe that is not legal anymore. Then they will have more control of you. It is all about control of the law abiding citizens, I cannot see any one with an illegal gun trying to sell it. Those types of individuals do not follow LAWS!
We knew the gun grab/control was coming because he told us it was. We also know that EO’s are not worth the paper they are written on. However, the law abiding citizen will follow it, no matter if it is legal for Obama to decree or not. Maybe people need to rethink that “law abiding” term for what it is worth….who follows it and who doesn’t and how much danger following it will that put us in? I think that Trump will remove alot of the crap Obama has put into play, but we have to make sure Clinton doesn’t get elected or we are screwed.

I was trying to find something on ‘Where’s Biden, and what’s he doing’ but couldn’t, found this instead on the Tainted WH Propaganda site: ‘Congress should support the President’s request for resources for 200 new ATF agents and investigators to help enforce our gun laws, as well as a new $500 million investment to address mental health issues.’ https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/01/05/fact-sheet-new-executive-actions-reduce-gun-violence-and-make-our
Which means more Fed jobs for the enemy in chief and laws prohibiting Americans – who will be considered anti-gov (or anti USURPING parasites Regime). Keeping guns out of the ‘wrong hands’ guess who’s hands those are?! As they support and supply ICE-IS.

Well, I was hoping that it would not start going further than what he had, but looks like he has alot of underlying stuff going on….should have known. So the ATF is on top of the FBI agents that are going to help with background checks. The ATF will be going after US and the FBI agents will be trying to find anything that will keep us from purchasing guns…and the 500 million will be used to make sure they pin it to us as being “nuts” or just “too damn old” to have weapons…hmmmm. Will be an interesting year, Zip!

The changes are subtle, but they open the door for more and we all know how that works. I don’t really have a problem with the background check but it gets scary when we know that eventually people who have recently gone through a divorce or who are feeling depressed will be put on the list. And then there is the possibility that a person with an ax to grind against another person will get revenge by getting him on a list. This may be in the future but it is coming.

I think at some point we all expect to be lied to, I cannot remember when the first time I knew, but I think it was during the time Obama was in the State House here in Illinois. Didn’t like him then and thought he couldn’t possibly be sent to DC…I was wrong. It has been one lie after another with him until you wonder if anything he ever told us was true.
With this bill, do we even know what is in it? We know just the talking points the media is telling us,,,,hahaha! That is not all there is and we know it, but there will people saying that we are the stupid ones IF we do not believe the news. Of course we do not believe them, they lie as much as Obama does. Now they will have the ability to say people on certain drugs or deemed depressed or has anxiety or whatever they want to insert will not be able to own weapons. Wonder how many blank pages they have they can fill in “after the fact”, like they have done on other bills?
Makes a person not want to go to the doctor or to get any kind of meds to take to get you thru a tough time. The doctors are being pressured to ask questions and I will not answer, so will I be out of a doctor IF I do not comply? That will go on the electronic medical records that was just so all the doctors would be on the same page to treat us….so much better for US. Trust them still?

You know “bi-partisan” was not an issue when the Democrats were in control, remember? Now that the Republicans are in control (that is a matter of opinion), all of a sudden the Democrats want to reach across the aisle. What a load of crap that is, but the majority of the Republicans buy into it. Talk about selling us out! They knew when we voted them in, what we expected them to do and still they did not do it….they know exactly what they are doing! They have just spit on all of us from the beginning. They get, for the most of them, what they deserve in the end. They will be in the same boat with us, however, they will be the ones carrying more baggage.

    Just subtle changes……
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/01/04/obamas-gun-control-plan-includes-gun-ban-social-security-beneficiaries/

Ok, I have revised some of my thoughts here…what about welfare recipients that get money, are they actually handling their own finances? What about someone that can not or will not make their payments on time, they are not handling their own finances correctly. What about someone that doesn’t pay their car payment and it gets repoed? What about that person? Where are they going to draw the line on “incapable of handling their own finances”? I bet there is a nice long list of “rent to own” clients that do not make their payments! As for someone that is on Soc Sec, is that any reason to start saying they are not able to handle their finances? Does age have that big of a bearing on incompetence? I know a hell of a lot of young incompetent people, as well! Maybe if the codes for such financial crap was not so difficult, a lot of us would not have to go to an accountant and do our own taxes, but they keep adding more and more laws, that no one can keep up. Even the ones that do taxes have to keep taking classes to bring them up to speed, what does that tell us? Simplify crap and watch what happens!
