Video: ‘The Trump Tapes Vol. 1’

January 23, 2016

I understand that there are many regular readers of America’s Watchtower who are supporters of Donald Trump and those same readers know that I am not a supporter of his because I do not trust him. He is holding many positions in this election which are inconsistent with the positions he has held in the past and that leads me to question which Donald Trump we would see as President. Would it be the Donald we see now or the Donald of years gone by? I think this is a legitimate question to ask.

Here is a video entitled “The Trump Tapes Vol. 1” which I think all Republican primary voters should watch before they head to the polls. I think it is pretty damning:

I understand the frustration with the establishment which has lead people to support Donald Trump, I feel the same way about the establishment, but when  you come down to it Donald Trump is not really that much of an outsider: While Donald Trump has not been a politician in the past he has been closely involved with politics his entire adult life by admittedly making deals with politicians using donations to get what he wants. This is precisely what is wrong with Washington, and while he makes the claim that by not accepting campaign donations from special interest groups it will make him beholden to nobody if he wins the White House he is already beginning to soften his anti-establishment rhetoric by making the claim that being “a little establishment” is the only way to get things done in Washington.

In a way this reminds me of Paul Ryan, another supposed conservative who decided being “a little establishment” was a good thing when he struck a deal with Barack Obama on the spending bill. He got things done in Washington..

Is this what Donald Trump is talking about? If so I want no part of a President Trump.

Off topic: NYC’s self proclaimed card carrying communist mayor has just know on live TV WABC channel 7 has confirmed that our two feet of snow deliver by today’s monster storm is a result of global warming. He said all thinking people will readily admit this.
I’m waiting for Hillary and Bernie to chime in.

Well that didn’t take long but I am not surprised! I bet Christie will not be caught dead hugging Obama this time around! Stay safe my friend.

Or we could work hard to get Ted Cruz elected. I am afraid he is the only principled conservative among the presidential candidates. He knows the constitution extremely well and has proven his willingness to stand up and fight the establishment in congress in spite of the media demonizing him. Trump is right, the Washington establishment politicians don’t like Ted Cruz and probably some even do hate him. I don’t want someone as president who gets along with and compromises with the corrupt establishment in Washington. I want someone who when he takes the oath of office understands it and truly means it, which 90% or more of our political leaders do not.

I am supporting the only candidate I believe truly respects the Constitution and that man is Rand Paul. But I would support Cruz over Trump any day!

I would likewise support Rand Paul and agree he is a principled Libertarian and respects the Constitution. In fact I have given him support in the past. I did not mean to exclude him but he unfortunately seems to have fallen off the radar at this time ( no excuse for my omission ). As for Trump his recent conversion to conservative principles seems too convenient and opportunistic. So, though, I agree with much of what he says and his trampling on political correctness, I don’t trust him.

Yes he has fallen off the radar and that is sad because I thought his stance on the NSA spying would attract younger voters but it has not. I will be voting for Paul in the New Hampshire primary.
