Harry Reid says he is pulling for Donald Trump, recalls the ‘good old days’ when Donald Trump held fundraisers for him
A couple of days ago Donald Trump was asked which members of the Congress he could work with if he was elected President and he named three people. Interesting enough is the fact that not only were the three people he named not Republicans, but in fact are three of the most partisan Democrats in the Congress–Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Chuck Schumer. (Oh, and by the way all three just happen to be members of the same establishment Donald Trump claims to oppose.)
Today Harry Reid was asked about Donald Trump’s comment and he said he was “kind of pulling for him.” He also recalled the fundraisers Donald Trump held for him. Here is more:
“Look, we’ve gotten along fine,” Reid said. “With that bunch of people running, I’m kind of pulling for him.”
Asked about Trump’s statement, Reid added, ‘Oh, I remember the good old days when he did a fundraiser or two for me.’
He then quickly tried to walk back the comments:
Reid quickly walked back his comments, apologizing for joking about supporting Trump — whom he called a ‘hateful demagogue who will do immeasurable damage to our country.’
‘There’s some things I shouldn’t joke about,’ he said from the Senate floor. ‘The danger of a Donald Trump candidacy to our country is not a joke.’
I have made my feelings about Donald Trump well known here so in this post I am not going to focus on how his supporters should begin to question his conservative credentials in light of the fact he has actually held fundraisers for Harry Reid in the past, but rather have decided to focus on Harry Reid’s hypocrisy.
After making the initial comment about pulling for Donald Trump it seems as if he quickly remembered the talking points–Donald Trump is a hateful demagogue who will damage the country if he is elected and then tried to claim he was making an ill-advised joke. I do not necessarily disagree with Harry Reid about Donald Trump here but let that go…
Harry Reid now claims, as I stated above, that Donald Trump is a hateful demagogue who will damage the country but he had no problem accepting his money when it was raised by this same hateful demagogue in the past. Of course this means that Harry Reid is willing to accept money from hateful demagogues in order to further his agenda and hold onto his power.
If Harry Reid is sincere when he claims Donald Trump is a hateful demagogue then it seems to me that he should return all the blood money he received from Donald Trump in the past, but of course he will not do that because when push comes to shove he is nothing more than an establishment hypocrite.

It figures. Trump is another hologram as was Obama. Those that want to see what they want to see will see it. Likewise, the opposite.

There’s a big strike AGAINST Trump if black-eye Reid was for him. ‘Make up your mind! [there’s much to said about that statement!]. Are you for him or is he a demagogue who wants to ‘destroy your Country’ (which isn’t our’s btw!). We have to remember Trump’s in it for the money, power and fame like all the rest of them. Power corrupt and absolute power, absolutely.
