Scott Brown to endorse Donald Trump

February 2, 2016

It is now being reported in this story that two-time loser, and RINO, Scott Brown will endorse Donald Trump ahead of the New Hampshire primary. Here is more:

Former Massachusetts senator Scott P. Brown, a moderate Republican who two years ago ran for Senate in New Hampshire, will endorse Donald Trump at a rally here Tuesday night, one week before the state’s presidential primary.

Brown’s decision has been closely guarded for days, but it was confirmed by two people familiar with the event, where Brown will appear onstage with the candidate.

And somehow this is supposed to give Donald Trump a boost:

Brown’s move could give Trump a significant boost one day after the mogul lost the Iowa caucuses to Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

Of course this is precisely the same prediction which was made about Sarah Palin’s endorsement and despite polls which showed Donald Trump leading Ted Cruz in Iowa by five points just before the caucuses he lost to the same by four points so someone needs to explain to me how the endorsement of a Republican establishment favorite can possibly help him.

Brown is also a favorite of many establishment Republicans because of his centrist positions, including support for abortion rights and for a ban on assault weapons.

This is the same establishment Donald Trump has been running against–well up until he stated he could work with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Chuck Schumer that is…

In reality Donald Trump should not need Scott Brown’s help in New Hampshire where he already holds a big lead in the polls and should win the Granite State’s primary by double-digits, but maybe the results in Iowa show us that he is not the presumptive nominee after all.

If Sarah Palin’s endorsement was not able to help Donald Trump in Iowa I fail to see how the endorsement of a has-been from Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire (take your pick) can have any sway in the primary season, unless it takes some votes away from the establishment’s new favorite candidate–Marco Rubio. Ted Cruz’s supporters certainly are not going to defect to Donald Trump because of Scott Brown.

Cruz played dirty pool in Iowa. Just wonder if Carson had gotten the votes originally meant for him and Cruz camp hadn’t spread lies about Trump what the out come would have been? Would Carson have beat out Rubio and would Trump have actually beaten Cruz? So much for the Christian principles that Cruz is spewing. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/02/disgusting-cruz-camp-smearing-donald-trump-at-iowa-caucus-sites/

      politics ain’t beanbag.

honestly look into elections from the beginning of the country until now. the behavior you expect is not even rare. it’s unheard of. and yes, I’m even talking among the founders. they were particularly nasty to each other during elections.

Cruz had an advantage. and he used it. trump thought he had an advantage, and it backfired on him. that’s how these things work.

I’d rather not elect someone who would hold back to “make the fight fair”. would that person do the same in wartime? would our best and most dangerous weapons be held in reserve, just to make it fair? ISIS has no air force, and little anti-aircraft capability. so let’s ground all our aircraft. you know, to make it fair. we wouldn’t want them to think we were taking advantage.

Yeah, the founders knew they didn’t want to be ruled by England but they all had differing ideas about how America should be ruled and it drove them apart in many cases. There has been intrigue since the very first election so this is nothing new. It doesn’t make it right but it does happen.

I think that had Trump spent a bit more in Iowa, the outcome would have been different….as for Rubio, the media is pumping him up along with the GOPe. Did Trump really expect to win Iowa? Gives us a different look into Cruz now, doesn’t it? He does have a “dark” side to him after all.

I think Trump did expect to win Iowa and that is why he has become so unhinged at the loss. Cruz might have used dirty tricks but Carson did not have enough support to draw enough votes for Cruz to steal the election and Trump knows this.

This type of dirty trick is nothing new, that does not make it right but this happens all the time. I doubt it took many votes away from Carson but it could have taken some away.

At this point in time the Republicans are not much different from the Democrats so why not start acting like them? It is a sad state of affairs nowadays…

brown, like romney, is a wind sock. he sees which way the wind is blowing and points to it. he thinks this will elevate his position..but anyone can see there are little to no common issues between brown and trump.

Ya, when I heard the Brown had come out backing him, it sounded like he was attaching himself to the wagon that is making the most noise…does he think that will get him a “given” position if/when Trump gets into office? Probably…never have liked that guy.
