Major Democratic donor is telling donors to be prepared in case Joe Biden gets in the race

February 6, 2016

Joe Biden Despite his announcement that he would not seek the Presidency in 2016 the rumors have been persistent that Joe Biden might still jump into the race. It is an open secret that within the Democratic party people are worried about Bernie Sanders wresting the nomination away from Hillary Clinton because they believe he is too far to the left to win a general election. (I am not so sure that is the case anymore in America today.) And although it goes unsaid I think there are people within the Democratic party who also have concerns about the possibility of running a candidate who is under investigation by the FBI and could face indictment.

Yesterday a Democratic mega-donor sent out a flier telling donors to be prepared to donate to Joe Biden if he decides to jump into the race. Allow me to digress for a moment: Yes, the left actually has big donors and special interest groups donating to them despite their claims they want to get big money out of politics. Check out Howard Dean, in a moment of clarity, actually admitting labor unions are a Super PAC. Howard Dean actually admitted the Democrats only “go after” the groups the left does not like.

But anyway, back on point: Here is more:

A prominent Democratic donor worried about the party’s chances of winning the presidency emailed dozens of fans of Vice President Joe Biden on Friday, urging them to remain prepared to donate if Biden jumps into the race.

The donor, Bill Bartmann, cited new polling showing Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont nearly tied with Hillary Clinton, eroding the 30-point lead the former secretary of state held at the end of last year.

Bartmann and other party insiders are concerned that Sanders, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, is too far to the left to win against a Republican in the Nov. 8 presidential election.

“We cannot afford to lose the White House,” Bartmann wrote in the email, seen by Reuters.

And apparently the response has been positive. I guess we could look at the bright side and say this might be a sign that not all the Democrats have moved so far to the left as to want to see a self-avowed socialist in the White House, however I would not bet on it. More likely they would love to see him in the White House but do not think he can get there yet.

We do not know if this mega-donor is acting alone or if he is privy to some inside information but it would be interesting to see what were to happen if Joe Biden did get into the race. It is hard to determine who he would take votes away from but I would guess he would likely take more away from Hillary Clinton and if that is the case he would split the anti-Sanders crowd and hand Sanders the nomination. And that of course would the reverse of what the intention was in the first place.

Brit, what is your opinion of Biden as a politician and as a man? Just curious. I think he would be fun to be around because he is just plain nuts and opens his mouth before he thinks things thru…I think he could be very manipulated as a President…maybe that is what “the powers that be” need in there. Maybe Obama has been a bit hard to control because of his arrogance. Guess anything goes at this stage of the game.

I had written quite a bit, on Steve’s page and a few other blogs. Biden, as a presidential contender is nothing to dismiss. He is a longtime Democrat. He is also what is called a “dinner table” Democrat, as was my father. When we were all at the table and got to talking, the boys (me, the eldest son and chief aggitator) would get into what we knew, as we were master “know-it-alls”, and my father would look at us (yep, the ringleader, me), point his finger, and start off with, “You listen to me…”, from his point of view as a WW2 veteran in his Jack Webb type of explaining style. About 99.99325%, he was correct. I could never figure out how he did it. Biden, likes to joke around and you can see that in his general demeanor. If, Biden were to turn serious, he would be a formidible opponent for the presidency. Biden has the most experience of all canidiates in all parties, combined. Biden’s failure, is that he is pushing Obama’s agenda. If, Biden were to say, about gun control, something in substance of, “Congress makes the laws, so I really cannot comment. It’s their decisions, and at the moment, nothing that I am aware of is on my desk about anything”, he would receive positive attention, as many labor unions, will, by tradition, back Democrat candidates. The union memberships, generally have limited knowledge of specific issues and will vote for what improves their livlihoods and family income after taxes. At police funerals, Biden quoted me twice, from my comments on Samina’s blog, and though I am a registered Conservative since Reagan, Biden, is more than welcome to quote me at any funeral, especially, police funerals. He comes off as solid. He lost children. He’s on the level with funerals. Bratton, also quoted me, again from samina’s blog, at a swearing in ceremony at One Police Plaza. Bill, used to stop and call me on first name basis, on the streets. Great guy, and he too, may quote me, anytime, as we have a bond, and were youngsters as cops in a different world. Biden is from that oldtime world. If it were possible, and it might be possible, Biden could also defeat Trump. It would be neck-and-neck, to the finish line. I support Trump, but Biden, could do it and win. Attitude must turn ice cold serious. Clowning must end. Period. Stop pushing Obama’s agenda. Stop considering what is best for the United Nations, and start considering what is best for America, first. Get America working again. Get America manufacturing again. Refugees, out. Lawful immigration placed on hold until people become Americans and not hyphenated Americans. Biden has the know-how. Vice President for eight years. The economy could be a stumbling block for him. Obamacare would need to be repealled, and I am not certain that Biden would repeal that or any Executive Orders. So the question becomes, does Biden really desire to become the President of the United States? He must do a lot of soul searching.

Good memories for you to have growing up! I do not think he would repeal anything either. I wonder IF he would get serious or not? Maybe he has not acted seriously these past years with Obama, because he has been told to act the way he has. Maybe as something else for people to focus on while the damaging stuff was being done. I do like his wife, she would be a vast improvement as a First lady over what we have in there now. I still think Trump will be the best person for the position, BUT guess if it had to be a choice of Clinton, Sanders or Biden…well, lesser of 3 evils? I grew up with a “cop” (hate that word) father, I know the dinner conversations we had. Do kids even sit at the dinner table anymore or are they in front of the tube on on their cellphone?

Thanks for all that info Rifleman! I hate to say this but I think despite all his quirks I would actually rather see him in the White House than either Bernie or Hillary.
I think you are right about him needing to get more serious if this is what he wants, but it might not be in his makeup.

If the light of truth shone on the scene it would be interested to see who’s pulling the strings Lou, and, like a stage (or chess game) who the powers that be are bringing on the playing field next. Hilly probably has been promised the position from the Bilderberg group, but are they top dogs? (Becoming President is Hillary’s assigned job, after all, if it was not, she’d already be washing dishes in a Federal prison.) Seems there’s a number of fractions jockeying for position – brings to mind that latest Blacklist episode. I respects Brit’s comment – as usual, sense and reason – but are the regimes even looking at that book anymore? I think they have another Playbook of the secret society & it’s being conveyed thru the movies and shows (social conditioning & programming people to their desired end). Biden could fit their ‘action figure’.

That is an interesting take Zip, what if TPTB are splintering and battling for the top position?!

This makes about as much sense as to how a candidate is being picked now!

I couldn’t get through the whole thing Lou! 🙂 I figured she was a Bernie supporter but I went to the end and saw she picked Christie. At least she has a system I suppose. Just one question though: if she does not have electricity how is she using a computer and webcam?
