Donald Trump wins Arizona, Ted Cruz wins Utah

March 23, 2016

We had a split decision last night in Arizona and Utah.

Donald Trump dominated the field in Arizona, winning nearly 50% of the vote. Ted Cruz was well behind at 25%, followed by John Kasich with 10% of the vote. While in Utah the results were quite the opposite: Ted Cruz destroyed the competition with almost 70% of the votes tallied, with John Kasich barely beating Donald Trump for second place by a 17-14% margin.

Arizona is a winner take all state so Donald Trump was awarded all 58 delegates and because Ted Cruz got over 50% of the vote in Utah he won all 40 delegates in that state. Which of course means John Kasich got nothing.

As I write this the votes are still being counted so the total percentages may change but it will not change the domination each winning candidate showed, nor will it change the fact that john Kasich no longer should be in this race. I am sure John Kasich will point to his second place finish in Utah as justification for staying in the race but at only 17% it is one of those Marco Rubio type second place victories which amounted to nothing and we all know where the Senator from Florida is right now…

I do not care for Kasich, you have probably heard me say that before…I would hate to have to see his face on my tv for 4 years….now, let me say that I doubt that will happen! Is he being paid off to stay in the race to make sure Trump doesn’t get his quota of votes? Possibly! If for some reason Trump doesn’t make that quota and I have to question if he will thanks to the Establishment, I will vote for Cruz. I think he is a good man, as well, but there is something “shady” that is starting to peek out about him, to me. All the talk of the brokered convention has me worried. I know that the Establishment will change the rules for what best suits them. They could have Trump as the nominee, even if he did not meet his quota, but they will not allow that. I FEAR that they are going to walk Jeb Bush out onto the stage and nominate him….all is lost at that point. He is not Presidential material, but they already know that. He is however someone that “those powers that be” can control. At this stage in our Countries life, I think it will take a Trump to try and drag the evil out of our Government. I never thought I would see a party try and take out one of their own nominees, but I think they would rather see a Clinton or Sanders Presidency rather than have someone in office that is not one of the Establishment. Now, I have to ask myself WHY? Has my party become so meshed with the Democratic Party that they would want this instead of a Republican? It sure seems so! Then, I also have to wonder IF people have had their fill of being screwed after they elect someone that had just lied to them in order to get elected? I know I have and I am pretty damned sure that most on this blog feel the same way. I would say most of us are of the middle class and know that we are being fleeced by those that we trusted to take care of us. Each day we wake up and hope for the best, but we see what those same people are voting on and then saying they didn’t have a choice…my butt! They have the numbers to start passing or stopping issues that we put them there for, but who got to them when they drove into DC? Is DC the most corrupt city in the nation? I guess my answer would have to be YES! So, here we stand, waiting for things to turn around and I have to say again, I think that Trump is our last best chance of having that happen. Anything other than that and we continue that downward spiral…..ok,,,,that is off my chest….take it for what it is worth.

There are two theories about why Kasich is staying in the race. One is to prevent Trump from getting the delegates and the other is that he has reached a deal with Trump (possibly to be his VP) to stop Cruz. I tend to believe the latter because the best way to stop Trump would be to let this become a two man race.
I have to say that Cruz is getting quite off-putting as well.

I was looking back thru some of the pics from Woodstock days and ran across this one. This is what Sanders represents and this is what the 20-somethings want to relive..any wonder they are leaning way to the left and it looks attractive to them?

Ooo, quite the creepy pice Lou! Those very ones grow up to be the ‘self-serving’ puppets of the ‘masters’ who rule over them.
They really pushed that butcher Che Guevara too purported as being a good guy when he was the opposite. ‘He helped free Cubans from the repressive Batista regime, only to enslave them in a totalitarian police state worst than the last.’
Yep, surprising how much a 20 yr old knows then gets older and realizes (at least some do!) how little they really know. The corrupt always direct the naive to the worser of the evils, depicted in the “The Time Machine” sort of youth that are just kept as cattle feed for the bottom feeders! Self absorbed and ignorant of the value of Life.

I remember watching that movie….now, at at older “age”, it has new meaning than it did then….kind of like Soylent Green and Fahrenheit 451 and of course Animal Farm….now we see what was truly meant in the films…but as YOUTH, never looked deep into the meaning.

Yep, a real upstanding citizen, that Che! Kids wear the tshirts proudly with his pic, but will refuse to listen to what he really was….then there is the PRESIDENT posing in front of a CHE etching on a big building…someone did a little tweaking of the picture:

It is still amazing to me that he has been turned into a hero. These people do not even know what Che stood for and they are wearing his shirts.

I heard about a poll that said Kasich was the only one that could beat Clinton…then I had to think, if that is the case, it is OVER! I cannot think who would be worse in office.
