Sunday, March 27th open thread: ‘He’s Alive’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, March 27th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we covered 9 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
Happy Easter everybody! Here is Johnny Cash singing “He’s Alive.”

I guess when we consider it Christ came from a different dimension and could be considered a ‘traveler’! Doesn’t need a spaceship though ~ esp. now since he rose and have his Glorified body!

I have been sitting here thinking with a cup of tea! Last Easter I had 2 rowdy grandsons here, 2 and 5 at the time..even though it was rainy outside, the Easter Bunny had left eggs to find. We had my son and his wife and her parents over for the traditional spiral ham and party potatoes (at my sons request) and all the fixins…it was nice to have “family” here and it was not as dangerous as it is this year for the world. I have to wonder IF we get a Bernie or a Hillary in office next year, what life will be like and what my grandsons will have to contend with??? The way things are going, having to be politically correct, I see that they are trying to phase out the word “EASTER” as well as Christmas and Halloween, etc. at some point everything will have to be generic, so as not to offend someone….my question is, are they doing the same for these other religions, phasing out the words for THEIR holidays and special days? I have not heard this….I think only OUR holidays matter or rather do NOT matter anymore. At what point are we finally fed up with this? The world has gone crazy over the past 7 years and you know why and I know why! I do not expect those in there 80’s or 90’s to fight this, but those of us in our 60’s and 70’s still have it in us and know how things should be, to put up a fight to save what was once a great Country. We can start by making sure we celebrate Easter as it should be, with family and friends and not as they want us to. The school system has seen fit to take important information out of history books and put questionable information in them…our kids do not know that it is not true unless we make sure to keep track of what they are learning…it is now more important than ever to watch closely what they learn and to correct what we can. They need to know the true meaning of our Holidays and not what is shoved at them.
I will wish all of my friends a very Happy Easter today and hope that you all are safe !

You know I mean THEIR, right? Well, I did!

Holidays make them $$$ and that’s what they crave, plus power, etc. But, since they’re taking $$ out of people’s hands, they no long have it to spend as freely as they use to. So, more control and power will have to make up for it – it seems! What was, is not longer and what will be is is yet to come. Enjoying our ‘NOW’ moments I suppose Lou is good to do!

That is true, Zip! None of us know how this is going to turn out, do we? I am so angry that people fell for voting for someone that was never qualified to be President in the first place and they did it TWICE! I would say, they should have been paying more attention and less listening to others.

Yep, tough to know who to listen to these days, who’s worthy to believe and who isn’t.
Google is “censoring the Cruz scandal 100 percent EVERYWHERE. It is not in the news, and Twitter instantly deletes tweets that reference the topic. Just so you know, in case you do not – Cruz has five documented mistresses, one he is doing right now, plus three more stepped forward. His wife is another Hillary and it is not Trump mentioning this, it got put on the front page of the National Enquirer, and it happens to be accurate.”
That kind-of goes w/ the presidential deal – qualifying himself in that department. The fraud in chief today prefers males rather than females (whole other subject).

Are we really seeing the ‘original’ or not?

Yep, have seen the headlines. We know the media does what it wants with bringing something out or covering it up. Guess we will see why they are covering this one up, you would think they would be running with it since he is a Republican. They must have something up their sleeve, right?
That is pretty cool on the video! I can see that being used for EVIL!

Good point Zip, they are willing to accept Christian holidays as long as they can make money from them. The rest of the year they want nothing to do with Christianity.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter Lou, we did! I was actually surprised to learn from my brother that his children had Good Friday off! I have to think it is only a matter of time before they do not, but then I remember the teachers unions and how they will not be willing to give up a holiday even if it is a Christian one.

It is all about the money, isn’t it? It was just the two of us here today, but it was ok. Will have the grandsons here the end of May, you can wish me luck then! However, tired as I may get, I LOVE it! My boys mean the world to me and yes they are worth fighting for.

Hadn’t heard that one before either! Thanks Steve. Uplifting w/ a bit of a story from probably from Peter’s perspective – who denied knowing Jesus 3 times before the early morning rooster crowed. Showing us that in and of our own fleshly power (no matter ‘how much we know’) that we’re limited in our human capacity to fess up to the Truth! Good thing God took care of all that needed to be done, so we can have right standing before Him, just by ‘believing’ what His Son did to make it possible for us to be made justified in His eyes!
Now for some vids:
De Niro won’t show anti-vaccine movie at Tribeca Film Festival
De Niro defended the inclusion of the film just one day earlier, but now has decided to remove it from the schedule: The Tribeca Film Festival is canceling plans to host the world premiere of an anti-vaccine film called “Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe.”
And just a happy little Resurrection song!

I hadn’t heard the song before either Zip but I thought it was appropriate. I also took it as being from Peter’s perspective however I believe John was the only apostle who actually witnessed the Crucifixion so I think the song was a little flawed. But I still think it had a good message for the day.
Thanks for sharing the videos, I did see a headline about the anti-vaccine video being pulled from the festival.

Got catch Steve! I didn’t even think of John, could’ve been him. Peter just came to mind – but, that’s been known to error now and again! Anyway, the meaning was conveyed, it wasn’t man who ‘did it’. Today though, mankind is be motived to do just that, putting the soul of one in the body of another – which they do in Criminal:
Or like 6th Day cloning humans / or one’s mind being held in a computer until being placed into a human body. Then we’re back to the statement: ‘and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.’ Gen 11 ~ the Tower of Babel.

oops ‘Good catch’!

The part about denying made me think it was from the perspective of Peter also, but maybe the song was just trying to get everything in it so it went between Peter and John.

Good one Lou. But, ‘evils that be’ will do until they’re stopped – they (the regular people of the old West – have gun will travel) found that out. There’s no dealing w/ someone who’s not trustworthy.

That is so true….can’t you usually tell by looking into someones eyes? My friend says I am one of HER few good friends because I have “honest” eyes, haha! Who knew! She said she will never not believe what I tell her, guess that is a good thing, right?

It’s a real treat to meet those who ‘can and choose’ to be truthful/honest! esp. in a time of need! And, to be known as that type of person is a real blessing Lou! I say that because our human nature is quick to shift blame, dislike being corrected and is wanting (what about me) more than geared to give way to high principles and characteristics that are Divine! To error is human …

Doesn’t sound like taking away guns made them safer, but as you said we knew this was the truth! Thanks for sharing.
