Over 100 delegates are ready to abandon Donald Trump at a brokered convention

April 1, 2016

brokered convention I think the one thing we have learned in this election cycle, or should I say; the one thing we have affirmed in this election cycle is the hold the establishment elitists in both parties have over the nominating process. Many of us have been saying for quite some time that we are only under the illusion of having a real choice in the election process, and that we only get to choose between candidates who have been selected for us. One of the ways the establishment has control is by using money to prop up the candidates they want to win. Take 2012 as an example: the Republican establishment threw money at Mitt Romney and actually convinced a majority of Republican voters that he was the only candidate who could beat Barack Obama. How did that work out…

But it has become clear this time around that the control the parties have over the nomination process goes much deeper than this. The Democratic party has basically rigged the system for its chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton, through the use of the superdelegates. Bernie Sanders simply does not have a legitimate chance to win and his supporters can thank the party elites. And it does not help Bernie Sanders’s cause that the media has changed the way it reports the superdelegate count in order to convince his supporters that he cannot win in an attempt to dissuade them from voting…

Likewise the Republican establishment is gaining solid control over the nominating process even though the original plan of propping up Jeb Bush failed. Have you wondered why John Kasich is still in the race even though he has been mathematically eliminated from getting enough votes before the convention to secure the nomination? I think the answer is simple: the elitists in the Republican party do not want either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz to win the nomination so I believe John Kasich is remaining in the race at the behest of the party in order to split the vote and secure a brokered convention.

If that is the case the plan is working perfectly. Ted Cruz is poised to win Wisconsin and if he does Donald Trump will need the support of 60% of the remaining delegates in order to win the nomination before the convention. Based on the results of the previous state contests this appears to be highly unlikely. Of course this means that Ted Cruz would need an even larger portion of the remaining delegates and that is even more unlikely, perhaps even impossible at this stage in the game.

  Here is more:

The reality of a contested convention has become more real than ever, with Donald Trump facing the risk of losing Wisconsin next week, meaning he’d have to win roughly 60 percent of the remaining delegates to win the Republican presidential nomination outright.

Unlike the Democratic superdelegates the Republican delegates are bound to vote for the candidate they are chosen to support on the first ballot. However if nobody reaches the magic number the Republican delegates are then free to vote for whomever they like on the second ballot and this is where the news gets even worse for Donald Trump, and those who are still under the mistaken belief that their votes in the primary count, because over 100 Republican delegates are already poised to change their allegiance on the second ballot.

If Trump heads into the convention without the magic number of 1,237, already more than a hundred delegates are poised to break with him on a second ballot, according to interviews with dozens of delegates, delegate candidates, operatives and party leaders.

And, surprise, most of the members of the Republican National Committee do not support Donald Trump. These Committee members are also delegates:

In one of the starkest examples of Trump’s lack of support, out of the 168 Republican National Committee members — each of whom doubles as a convention delegate — only one publicly supports Trump, and she knows of only a handful of others who support him privately.

This brings the number of delegates willing to switch their votes to closer to 200 than 100. It is unclear if the 168 Committee members mentioned above are included in the initial number cited in the article but if they are not it would bring the number closer to 300.

If there is a brokered convention, and I believe there will be, you can rest assured that neither Ted Cruz nor Donald Trump will be the nominee and for that matter neither will John Kasich, meaning that Karl Rove will get his wish to see a “fresh face” win the nomination. By fresh face he means somebody who is not currently in the race and at this time the leading candidates appear to be two-time loser Mitt Romney and voter sellout Paul Ryan. Either way it will be a person that not one single voter has voted for in this election cycle.

Do you still believe you have a real choice in the primaries? You decide…

    According to Pat Buchanan
“All Trump and Cruz need do is instruct their delegates to vote to retain Rule 40 from the 2012 convention. Rule 40 declares that no candidate can be placed in nomination who has failed to win a majority of the delegates in eight states.”

This would knock Kasich out and not allow the RNC to impose Paul Ryan.

If the RNC pulls a trick I for one will not vote for any Republican down ticket. They made their bed and the can lie in it. Give the Congress back to the Democrats.

I think this is the first thing they are going to do and Kasich must know this which would mean he is playing a game, probably at the bidding of the GOP. I have already decided to go third party President but of course I have said that before so we will see what happens. The GOP feels it can get away with this because people have no where else to go but this could be the end of the Republican party.

Let the GOP and their puppets stir the pot. Sometimes the finished dish ends up being something v-e-r-y different from what was intended. Should the GOP pull it off at a brokered convention, Trump could cause an upset to both democrats and Republicans if there is a landslide in his favor with the general ballot results. It would end up in court and prove both political parties and their members, are nothing more than Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations.

I have to say that I agree with your assessment of both parties in your last sentence. Both parties are bought and paid for, I think the Republican voters understand this now but I think the Democratic voters still think the party has their best interests at heart.

They are all being sneaky now or I should probably say, acting like I expect the Democrats to act. Karl Rove is probably coming out with his little white board and marker to tell us why we need that “fresh face” on top of that. Then Kasich, I just really cannot stomach that man. I am pretty sure at this point that he is being well taken care of for what he has done to the party. I cannot imagine he would think this is for the good of the Country to cause this chaos, but then again, he is a snake. I am tired of being told who will be able to beat Clinton, at this point in what she has pulled, it should be ANYONE that would be able to beat her. I think that Sanders is getting screwed and I don’t even like him, but this is unfair to him. The RNC is probably going to lose alot of life long Republicans over the crap they are pulling. I have read, recently, 2 different takes of the Delegates..the first one was that they had to have won 8 states to be considered a legitimate candidate and the second later on was that they had to have only ONE Delegate backing them. I guess the RNC is playing games and is making the rules up as they go.

Now, as far as trying to take Trump out, they are ALL in it to take him down. Not so much with Cruz, but he is second on the list to be shit canned. Kasich has not a chance of winning, but then again he does probably have 1 Delegate or it can be provided for him. I never thought I would see “my party” going the way of illegal, under-handed crap, but now I have. I am not pleased they are pulling this.

I always thought I would be a life long Republican, now I am seeing things a little differently, at this point. The party has lost its’ way and I am not sure it can be repaired. I asked so little of people that run the greatest country in the world, they have let me and everyone else down. So much for them always badmouthing the Democrats, they have turned out just like them. By the way, that is NOT a compliment!

Brit, what you said above about Trump and court, I think he WILL do that if this pans out the way the RNC wants it. It will be interesting to watch and I bet they will not like the outcome.

I am beginning to think the Republican party has always acted this way but we just did not see it until now and I will give Trump credit for bringing this issue to light.

Guess this website is set up to tell us why we need that brokered convention. I mean, they will lay it all out for us in preparation. Apparently someone found the Democrat Handbook and is following their rules now! Does anyone trust this Priebus dude?

No I do not trust Priebus, or any other member of the establishment! The GOP setting up this website shows us that they are hoping for it and it looks like they are going to get their way.

The established GOP are pulling out their hair at just the thought of Trump. I like him the most of any candidates, because he’s not in the mainstream!!!!

At this point I do not like any of them and I am sure I will not like the “fresh face” that is likely to come out of a brokered convention. I don’t know what to do at this point.

When a revolution occurs it is never neat and tidy. The pot on the stove is about to boil over. I think those that care can see their jobs and their future retirement income will disappear if we continue on the path we are on. They want changes now before its too late. If Hillary is elected be prepared to lose everything. Think of Chicago on steroids, high taxes, broke pension funds, bureaucrats openly stealing whatever is not nailed down. Forget your 401k, IRA, or saving account the Feds will appropriate them.

New York and Califorina are approving $15 an hour minimum wage. The Democrats will force this upon every community when Hillary is elected. We know the Go Along to Get Along Party will not stand in the way of this idea. This will be the final nail in the job market. Every company that can leave the U.S. will do so. Boeing is already looking at India. China and many countries will be happy when the stupid Americans lose all their manufacturing capability.

They will force a $15 per hour minimum wage and then blame the corporations when the jobs disappear. They will use this to usher in an even more tightly government controlled economy and this plan will likely work, it is all slipping away from us very fast.

Lock ‘N Load, and Be Prepared. If you’re not already, then give it a fast kick start. It’s coming quickly! Get you “dollars” out of the bank and buy some gold and/or silver. The Country is broke and O’Trauma has seen to it, along with his buddy George Soros. Prepare to be as mobile as possible, unless you’d like to stick around and wind up in a FEMA camp!!!

“Presidents are selected, not elected.” ― Franklin D. Roosevelt
There’s a vid out saying all the president of the US have been/are related – “The 12-year-old traced the lineages of nearly all of the U.S. presidents to King John, the signer of the Magna Carta.” Which is interesting, but since the father of Bari is questionable (and Clinton?), maybe she followed the mothers linage (if that’s how it works).
So, voting fraud, rigged elections and such really don’t matter, because the elite put in who they want to fill that position, and we the ‘believing and trusting’ serfs live the illusion (that’s been man-u-factured), that we have a choice.
The choice we do have is whether to follow the liar and his program (the god of this world – the political hoax) or believe and trust in the True Ruler — who’s reconciling everything back to Himself since being alienated from the Garden. [Unbelieved because of fallen man’s rejection of truth – Darwin lifted up and Truth cast away.]
Meanwhile – when Truth is rejected we get the other to rule and reign over us:
Those who walk according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air (god of this world hath blinded their minds), the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience and unbelief are taught/trained to disbelieve and hate the True & Living God – the very Saver of our souls! Darkness needs no rabbit hole when it rules right out in the open, covered in the cloak of deceit, illusion and brainwashing!

I haven’t watched the whole video yet but so far I have to say it is spot on. I have not heard of the movie he is talking about but it is clear there is a message there.
