Paul Ryan says he is not interested in becoming the Republican nominee at a brokered convention

April 4, 2016

paul-ryanThere has been quite a bit of talk lately about there being a brokered Republican convention and how if it comes to this the Republican establishment will try to nominate a “fresh face” to be the party’s flag bearer. I am of the opinion that this is the goal of the Republican establishment and that John Kasich is working with the GOP in order to ensure a brokered convention comes to pass.

Two names have been bandied about as possible fresh faces and they are Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. I have to believe that even the clowns in the Republican establishment are not stupid enough to run Mitt Romney again after the 2012 debacle so I believe it will be Paul Ryan who emerges from the pack if either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz are denied the nomination.

Today Paul Ryan vehemently denied he has any interest in becoming the party nominee, here is more:

House Speaker Paul Ryan, who many conservatives have floated a potential GOP presidential candidate in the event of a brokered convention this summer, forcefully rejected on Monday suggestions he would be considered for the nomination.

“I do believe people put my name in this thing, and I say, ‘Get my name out of that,’” the Wisconsin Republican said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” radio program. “If you want to be president, you should go run for president. And that’s just the way I see it.”

“I’m not that person. I’d like to think my face is somewhat fresh, but I’m not for this conversation. I think you need to run for president if you’re going to run for president, and I’m not running for president. Period, end of story.”

“I’m not the fresh face. I’m not that person,” Ryan added, referencing remarks on the same show last week by GOP operatives who suggested the party needed a “fresh face.”

“I’m not for this conversation. I think you need to run for president in order to be president. I’m not running for president, so, period. End of story,” he said.

But is that really the end of the story? I remember when John Boehner suddenly retired and Paul Ryan denied he had any interest in becoming Speaker of the House but what is his current job? Rhetorical question of course…

Here are five times Paul Ryan denied he was interested in becoming the Speaker of the House. Paul Ryan’s word, as we all know, means nothing.

    (A) Why hasn’t Rubio, released his delegates?
    (B) Why has Lindsey Graham, been so vocal, suddenly, these past few weeks?

The GOP has gone slimeball enough, to have me not rule out a ticket if brokered, of Rubio – Graham. It would cut partially and would cause people to stay home, thus advantaging Hillary. Only a common vote would eliminate those thoughts but Trump, would require something like a 70% of the general ballot returns. Tall order, but not impossible.

It is looking more and more likely that if Cruz wins Wisconsin there will be a brokered convention. I think it is going to happen. Your Rubio/Graham theory is interesting, I hadn’t thought of that but Rubio was the GOP’s candidate after Bush dropped out.

Maybe it is just me but I have a feeling this would be a bad idea, Graham/Rubio, haha! What a mess THAT would be, right? Is this the reason that Rubio refuses to give up his delegates maybe? This way he will have some sort of “right” to be nominated in their eyes. I always thought they were having Bush waiting in the wings, but who knows at this point. I see that Cruz won Wisconsin, Trump got a few of the delegates. I also see that the media is pulling for him the way they are reporting….that sends up a red flag to me IF the media is in favor of someone. Of course they may be just on the bandwagon of ANYONE but Trump at the moment. This whole election process is a joke, they know who it will be and we are left guessing. Of course our guesses are pretty accurate, but I have to remember that WE are the little people that don ‘t really have a say in the matter.

GOP is busy backstabbing each other and they all, enjoy it.
Aside from Trump, none of them, can be trusted.

I believe you might be right, at least Trump says what he thinks, whether it is politically correct or not….what a new concept that is, huh?

OT, am going to have sporadic internet, it seems. Ported home number to my cell and taking all the cable boxed back in the morning for the TV’s…NOW, for some reason the modem/router has started coming on and off….hmmm! Will come out and check it on Thursday, so in the meantime, may or may not have internet. I am officially NOT a TV watcher now, ha! Will read if and when I can, but might not, too…time will tell.

Up and running at the moment, but time will tell! I have data on my cell, so can always read on there or find a connection….they are sending a tech out on Thursday, will get it straight. I am going to probably do battle on the bill when I take all the boxes back, but am knocking about 100 off my bill by just going to internet only. Actually, feels kind of nice! Husband is having some withdrawals, haha! We watched Dazed and Confused on blue tooth last night, that mad him happy…set in the 70’s, a few years after I graduated, but only 2 for him….I cannot believe we wore some of those clothes and had those hair styles, but we DID. Live and learn! If I can find out pic we had taken, I was 24 and he was 22, loved the hairstyles, I will try and scan and post.

Worked out fine, took all the equipment back and then gave me a “new customer” price of $59.95 for the high speed internet….hopefully for a year. No extra for the BLAST speed or for the modem…I have a bit better opinion of the company now or at least the CSR that waited on me.

Yeah, it isn’t the same on mobile devices. It is much harder to leave a long comment so I usually read all the comments as they come in on my phone but wait until I get home to comment.
Fashion in cyclical, someday those clothes and hairstyles will be back! 🙂

A “fresh face” what a joke! This is so the RNC can say they tried, but Hillary was just too clever. The a.h. at the RNC have not and do not want to listen to the public. If they do succeed in jerry rigging a brokered convention do they hope Trump will just go away? Trump may run third party and sue the RNC at the same time. Ryan will have his clock cleaned by Trump. Ryan strikes me as real milk toast character with no spine beholding to the power elites. A puppet for Karl Rove and Bill Kristol and the neocon establishment.

Good riddance Republican Party. Fool me once shame on me fool me twice shame on you!

Haha, most of us “self check” what is typed by others, but we all mess up sometimes and feel the need to post what we actually meant….I think we just get used to processing what was typed and what was meant…not to worry!

Funny you mention that mind/fingers thing….I sat down at the keyboard the other day and tried to play. my mind DOES still go faster than my finger on the piano, as well. Took classical lessons for alot of years and still know what I need to do, but the old fingers have a different idea of their own…guess more practice is what is needed,,,like doing scales. Oh well, that is not at the top of my list at the moment….right now I am in the process of getting a Magic Jack for the ability to hook up a phone system, the husband wants phones…so I will give him phones, I guess. Me, I don’t care, have my cell.

Funny how the fresh face is really not all that fresh…
I don’t understand how the GOP elites can think this is a good idea because they have to know Trump will not go away. They have put themselves in this situation so it is hard to feel sorry for them.

Liars, all of them. This may be the end of the Grand old party, and I for one say fond adieu.

From Pat Buchanan’s website “Whatever happens to Trump, the country has spoken. And if the establishment refuses to heed its voice, and returns to the policies the people have repudiated, it should take heed of John F. Kennedy’s warning:”

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”

Since nothing really comes to mind regarding this, I’ll leave the song ‘Sweet Dreams’. For some those dreams are sweets (elite) but for the majority others become the living day-nightmares. Socially conditioning the matrix ‘victim’. Meditation in this vid = connecting w/ the fallen spirits for guidance. Now that we’re begin to ‘see’ more of what’s behind these songs and images, we realize the NWO has been pressing toward its mark for years (conforming us into their image), while we thought they were just entertaining us and making $T.

This brings to my mind the version Marilyn Manson did of this song. I was going to post a video of it but all of them are pretty out there and there is even more symbolism in them. If you want to check them out you can but I must warn you they are more than a little disturbing.

Yes, know about him – deep in the occult, member of the church of satan. His ‘noise’ is music to the ears of his master. Notice how they change in appearance, the tattoos, the hair, etc. marking them by their owner (ring in nose, lip, ear, eyebrow, tongue – how much more obvious does it need to get … yep everywhere, a slave ring).
