Bernie Sanders earns less money in one year than Hillary Clinton makes in one speech

April 15, 2016

I have to be honest with you: I do not have much fight in me tonight, more accurately it has been hard finding motivation all week,  and I read no stories today which inspired me to write so I thought I would just share this next little tidbit with my readers. (And maybe it will antagonize the left at the same time.)

Bernie Sanders is about to release his 2014 tax returns and it turns out that he earned $200,000. Not to shabby at all…at least until you think about how much money Hillary Clinton makes per speech.

In that same year Hillary Clinton, who was “dead broke” when her husband left the White House, earned more in one speech than Bernie Sanders made all year–and she gave dozens of speeches.

  Here is more:

Bernie Sanders reportedly earned just over $200,000 in 2014. That same year, Hillary Clinton, Sanders’s top Democratic rival, gave about 45 paid speeches, many of which paid her more in a single hour than Sanders made the entire year.

“The senator from Vermont reported income of just more than $200,000 on his 2014 returns, according to the first few pages of his federal and Vermont filings, which were shared with The Washington Post back in June. On Friday, the couple is planning to release the rest of the returns, including attached schedules,” writes the paper. “The vast majority of the couple’s income came from Sanders’s $174,000 Senate salary and Social Security benefits that both he and his wife, Jane, a former college president, receive.”

In 2014 alone, Clinton gave speeches to GE (for $225,500), the National Automobile Dealers Association ($325,500), Deutsche Bank AG ($280,000), and many more.

And yet Hillary Clinton is claiming she is just an ordinary person who understands the troubles mainstream Americans are going through and she knows all the answers to our problems…

That’s ok. We’re all experiencing the same mood. I’m seeing and feeling it at most of the sites I visit. Of course I don’t really visit that many sites. But it is evident at the big boys as well, i.e. AT. Lot’s of what used to be regular commenters are gone and some even saying they are going.

Thanks, this happens every once in awhile but something usually comes along that gets me motivated again and sometimes it takes just a short break. I haven’t been to AT in awhile but that is a great site, I have to get back over there.

Same here Steve. Dragged out a post of Domino playing by Hillary this morning after an hour seeing nothing but depressing news of little interest to me, thus probably not to many others.
