Peter King says he might ‘take cyanide’ if Ted Cruz wins the nomination

 New York Congressman Peter King is no fan of Ted Cruz but just in case people were not aware of the depth of his dislike for the Texas Senator he made it abundantly clear today on  MSNBC. Here is part of what he had to say:

“I hate Ted Cruz, and I think I’ll take cyanide if he ever got the nomination,”

  And it goes without saying he is not a fan of his home state compatriot either so it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out who he voted for.

“Now, having said that, I think you’re going to see Donald Trump scoring a big victory tonight. I have not endorsed Donald Trump. In fact, I actually voted by absentee ballot for John Kasich.”

  That is not exactly surprising, is it? He admitted that John Kasich has no shot at winning the nomination and claims that is why he did not come out and endorse him. He also admitted that he believes Donald Trump will win the nomination and he had a few words of warning for the billionaire businessman:

“I want Donald Trump to know that if he wants the support of Republicans, he’s gotta get more substance. He’s gotta really learn what he’s talking about and can’t just be talking off the top of his head and making reckless charges.”

  I have to admit I actually agree with this statement but I find it interesting he did not use the same type of rhetoric about taking cyanide if Donald Trump wins the nomination. After all, Donald Trump’s support comes from his anti-establishment campaign yet Peter King is the establishment and he seems to prefer a Trump nomination to a Cruz nomination and I think it is because he knows what I believe is the truth: Donald Trump is more establishment than he is letting on while Ted Cruz has gone against the establishment on more than one occasion. That is why he hates Ted Cruz and that is why he would prefer Donald Trump.
