Ted Cruz names Carly Fiorina as his running mate

April 27, 2016

After yesterday’s disastrous performance in the Northeast primaries Ted Cruz today announced that he has selected  Carly Fiorina as his running mate in the event he manages to win the Republican nomination. Here is part of what he had to say:

“After a great deal of consideration and prayer, I have come to the conclusion that if I am nominated to be president of the United States that I will run on a ticket with my vice presidential nominee Carly Fiorina.”

The Senator from Texas has suffered several defeats in a row now, in some cases finishing a distant third behind John Kasich  so it is clear this unusual move was designed to give him a boost in the upcoming contests and possibly save his struggling campaign. Donald Trump clearly has the momentum now and this is a last-ditch attempt to slow Donald Trump down.

Ted Cruz was mathematically eliminated from gaining the 1,237 delegates needed before the convention to secure the nomination so at this point his only legitimate goal is stopping Donald Trump from getting to that number as well in the hope he can win the nomination on the second ballot. In other words, he is just trying to stay close to Donald Trump and defeat John Kasich.

Ted Cruz probably hoped this move would make him appear bold but personally I feel it only makes him look desperate and I think the voters in the upcoming contests will come to the same conclusion.

A total misadventure. Trump didn’t give a bad speech today. For what it is worth, probably not much. In some ways I am glad it is over as far as the GOP. Sit back and let him have at her. I will at least enjoy that for a change instead of tip toeing around. Bring it on.

I didn’t hear the speech today, I just cannot bring myself to listen to him. It is over for Cruz and yeah I guess it will be good to sit back and see what happens next.

I listened to most of it. Now, if the RNC changes the rules again, I would be pissed. We’ll see what happens. It will be interesting to see a Trump-Clinton debate. I so dislike that woman.
Oh, yes, I got my laptop back, so far so good….new keypad installed, so it is ready to take a beating for awhile. I put the tablet away, was so unimpressed with the speed.

Glad to hear you got your laptop back, I assumed you did when I saw you posting! 🙂
I will not be watching the Trump/Clinton debates, besides not being able to listen to anything Hillary has to say at this point I honestly cannot stand Trump either. I’m not fond of Cruz or Kasich either, I am a man without a party and it troubles me.

I think it’s an interesting move. There were many who liked her. Might help him.

It will probably give him a bit of a bump but I don’t think it will be much. I think Trump has too much momentum right now. Will it be enough for him to get to 1,237, I don’t know.

“More people are discovering that the system is all rigged and voting is just pacification,” three-time presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul said about U.S. elections in an interview with RT America. http://theantimedia.org/ron-paul-elections-rigged-voting-pacify/

Ron Paul was right about a lot of things, if only people listened. That is a great Mark Twain quote! Apparently he was ahead of his time.

Zip, Ron Paul did not get a fair shake, as Donald Trump is finding out now. If the RNCe don’t want you in, you get shit-canned….Trump is just too ornery to let them take him out so fast. Paul was/is an intelligent man…he disliked us being the “keeper” of the world….he thought we should protect the USA, but needed to pull out of all these other countries…was he entirely wrong in that way of thinking?

Looks like you got your comma key working again!
Your comment brought this article to mind: Khazarian Mafia’s system of Cartels ‘In 2014, the Chairman, Director and Senior Editor of Veterans Today disclosed publicly for the very first time that there is no naturally occurring terrorism — it is only violence and wars engineered by the World’s largest organized crime syndicate …. It is high time Americans gain an understanding of how America is organized and controlled by a system of Khazarian Mafia Cartels. Unless the Establishment Hierarchy’s system of these interlocked Cartels that control almost every single part of our lives is fully exposed and checkmated, we are doomed to self-destruct as a nation.’

I gave Ron Paul a good listening to but I didn’t vote for him, but damn it turns out he was right on almost all the issues!

Steve, I think they (the media) put it out there that he was a “weak” candidate and criticized his voice and his age, but the man is smart…see how easy it is to take someone out of the running if they want to?
