Donald Trump win the Indiana primary in a landslide

May 3, 2016

CNN has already projected Donald Trump as the winner in Indiana and it was not even close. As I write this the billionaire businessman has about a 20 point lead over the Senator from Texas and John Kasich is a distant third with about 8% of the vote. I do not foresee much change in the end results.

This could be the final nail in Ted Cruz’s Presidential coffin unless he is able to secure enough sympathetic delegates which will switch votes on a second ballot at the convention in the event Donald Trump does not reach 1,237. At this point in time, with polls showing Donald Trump with a huge lead in California, it appears likely Donald Trump will win the nomination before the convention.

Consider this an election night open thread.

That would be interesting!!! I DO like James Woods, he is smart and says what he thinks,,,,I know, a new concept for some Republicans that are used to kissing the butts of the left…maybe Trump will bring out some wallflowers.

Wallflowers, would be unacceptable. We need people who love America.

The “wallflowers” I speak of are the ones that are shy and introverted, but love this country, just are not open about their beliefs…maybe this will bring them out. The way the administration has beat people down about politically this or that, I am surprised that there are many left that will speak their minds….too many don’t want to rock the boat. I hope this is a turn for the better, where we do not have to worry about WHO is offended…I am so sick of “hurt feelings”….I just have a problem with weakness.

The wallflowers, though meek, must grow a backbone, or under the current course we are in, our nation will be lost.
We need some of the younger people to recognize this, as I am only, one, old man. We want the federal government to work, correctly, and with integrity. We do not desire to ruin our nation, nor ruin our Constitutional Republic.

Old Man, you say???? Well, ok then….BUT you are one SMART Old Man! We have not had a properly functioning Government for a long time and it will take awhile to change that. I know a number of 30 somethings that are pretty darn smart and the schools have not been able to brainwash ALL of them. I know what you are saying about needing the “youth” involved. Backbones have been a limited quantity lately….too many afraid to say anything for fear of being labeled a “racist”….I have resigned myself to the fact that I am one….whether I am or not, because i say what I think….some day it might get me in trouble. Until then, I will keep on, keeping on, as they say.
Today has been a good day!

I am optimistically hopeful now…I had my doubts that Cruz was going to pull more of the same on Trump….I know there are people here that like Cruz, I did at first, but the more I see some of the stunts he has pulled, I do not trust him, now. I know he is highly intelligent, but this is not only about doing anything to win, it is doing it the right way and the honest way and I see him lacking in some categories.
I know there is a long way to go until the magic number is met, there is still the RNC that has decided they can change the playing rules at any time….I do not know what to expect from them.
If the nominee IS Trump, I think he is probably the best one that could go up against Clinton….I know that the media says he cannot beat her,,,,but they are of the same mindset for winning and I think he will have as much to throw at her as she hurls at him. The big difference is that I truly believe that he loves this country, she, for obvious reasons doesn’t. They both know how to attack! This should be one hell of a race IF they are the 2 nominees…one that we will be able to tell our grandkids and great-grandkids about….it will be far from NORMAL.

The media, is trying to brainwash the American people. The people, see through the media’s deception.

America, will, have a nation worthy for our grandchildren to inherit. Hopefully, this will be the reset, America needs. All the top posts must be cleaned out, of the traitors.

I saw a clip of Obama saying that Trump is not qualified to be a President….haha! Like HE was? I think Trump is smart enough to surround himself with the best of the best…I can think of many, many people that are qualified for different positions in this NEW administration….the ones that Obama put in were bought and paid for….that doesn’t make for a well rounded cabinet…..

You left out “affirmative action”,,,but I better not say that, OR I will be labeled very quickly.
I think I have a right to criticize him, he is from MY great state and he didn’t vote much other than “present”…I paid his salary, so I own a part of him…right?

I think you are right about the people beginning to see through the MSM and the lies and that is why more and more people are turning away from the networks.

Lou, at this point I think Trump will reach the magic number but it will be interesting to see what Cruz supporters do in the upcoming states. I have a feeling they will stay home and this will mean big victories over Kasich for Trump. Unlike you this does not make me optimistic at all…

They should cancel the convention in Cleveland. Save some money – cancel the riot gear contract and not allow the protesters to have a field day.

The RNC is not done with trying to block Trump, CJ. If they can do a 2nd or 3rd vote because of him not having the agreed upon amount of delegates, they can try and stop him. I think this is why Kasich is still sticking around…he has a state to run, but this is more important to him….for some reason he thinks that he can win on the 2nd or 3rd try. I would rather have seen Cruz stick around than Kasich, there is just something sleezy about him that I cannot stand.

Trump only needs about 190 after tonight. CA equals 100 + Trump delegates and NJ is 55 delegates WV, OR and WA have 100 delegates.

I remember reading that even IF he gets the required delegates, “they” said they might still go to a Convention….now, do you think that people will be upset if they try that? I am betting on it! Apparently they can break the rules whenever they want to.

At this point I have to think that even if Trump does not get to 1,237 the GOP has to give it to him or else it will be suicide for the party. However, I would not be surprised if they try to give it to somebody else.

Why isn’t Trump “equipped” to be POTUS? He owns 7 golf courses in the US. Isn’t that enough?

I had to laugh when I saw this…I just cannot figure out what exactly it was that made Obama eligible to become President.
