Sunday, May 29th open thread: ‘The Magnificent Seven’

May 29, 2016

open-threadHere is the open thread for Sunday, May 29th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

Last week we discussed 10 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.

In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.

The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!

Here is The Clash performing “The Magnificent Seven” live. Enjoy:

Quite the dancers Swiss. The picture of the ear is something isn’t it. What a miraculous construction, design, beauty and function! All to allow us to hear. May we hear things worth of it and it’s Designer! The spiral is another interesting design that God uses. Thanks for sharing those Zip, I did enjoy them! Of course Dr. Spock represented the “illumined” man and the idea that through knowledge and reason man could become as god.

You must be ‘on that train’ Steve of ‘seeing behind the curtain’! I just thought it was funny w/ Rodney’s background verbals. But, you’re right, human emotions in the Vulcan world were seen as foolishness – only because they couldn’t have or contain those emotions (have totally mastery over), one being love. Love is of God, limitless and eternal. And that proves the point which strikes the core of pride and self righteousness – ‘And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:’ Mark 12:32
And the illuminated ignore this truth as well promoting their own desired reality as if everyone believes it it will be so. But, ‘For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;’ 1 Timothy 2:5 That isn’t the reality they want or portray as ‘the answer to the failings of this world’s system or corruption’.

Those 1960’s TV Show were something! For the Vulcan I have to say that it makes me feel like the Nazi, who able to comit things without question, without feelings or emotions. It is the worst of what can be.. until PTSD

It was funny Zip, I enjoyed it. I just thought I would take the opportunity to highlight another example of indoctrination. 😉
You are right about something I hadn’t thought of; the lack of emotion, especially love, because if the people can love they can love God and they cannot have that as we see every day.

Just got around to watching the classic 60’s. The song is Lets Dance by Chris Montez. He had two other semi-hit with The More I See You and Call Me, on the A&M label. And yes I do have the original 45’s (the little vinyl records with the big holes) 😎

Good for you! keeping your 45’s!
He did quite a variety of tunes didn’t he. ‘More I See You’ album was arranged by Herb Alpert / the album cover is similar to the look on the Tijuana Brass albums.

The Clash, what’s not to like? Goiod one Steve. My favorite is the catchy Spanish Bombs. Their London Calling album is framed on my wall between the classic Animal Tracks- Etic Burden and The Animals, and Otis Redding Live In Paris. Those were the days my friend we thought they’d never end…

Imagine, this puke bag owns the state of Arizona but still has time to play for peanuts. He’s one sandwich away from a Clinton picnic. 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜

Solutions? Execute the corruot rulers of these countries who steal the billions in foreign aid we provide, where the people live in abject hopeless poverty; teach and enforce ridgid birth control (I for one applaud the Chicoms on this one); let the phoney philanthropic left wing “progressive” pigs like Bill Gates take their 60 Billions in a suitcase and really save these people through education, build them bathrooms and show them how to use the facilities so when they either sneak in here or are brought in by our dysfunctional govetnment they wont shit on the streets after filling up on junk food bought with welfare dollars provided by the taxpayer. Any other ideas?

L.A. Times Amazed to Find Latinos Who Support Trump
    Stupid liberal media meets reality.
It turns out that many of them are American citizens or legal immigrants who care about the country’s borders, and share the same views as fellow conservatives Republicans on a variety of issues.
