Hillary Clinton refuses to say individuals have the right to keep and bear arms

June 5, 2016

Hillary Clinton was asked a direct question by George Stephanopoulos about the Second Amendment: “Do you believe an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right? That it’s not linked to the service in the militia?”

That is a pretty straightforward question and a simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed but of course the former Secretary of State avoided the question by more or less the government has the right to regulate the Second Amendment.

  Here is what she said:

I think that for most of our history there was a nuanced reading of the Second Amendment, until the decision by the late Justice [Antonin] Scalia. And there was no argument until then that localities, and states, and the federal government had a right–as we do with every amendment–to impose reasonable regulations.

Here is the video of the exchange:

But that was not the question, the question was whether or not she believed it was an individual right not whether or not the government could regulate it. It is pretty clear to me that she does not believe the Second Amendment is an individual right because if she did she could have said so and then went on to say the government reserves the right (rightly or wrongly) to regulate the amendment. But she chose to use the question to attack the late the late Justice Scalia instead.

If these people are hellbent on trying to tie the Second Amendment to the militia perhaps they should look up how the United States Code defines the militia…

According to Illinois constitution, “The State militia consists of all able-bodied persons
residing in the State except those exempted by law.”

The US Code is pretty much the same. I find it funny that many people do not even realize they are in the militia whether they want to be or not.

Hill-a-beans can easily get away with this because those of us on the right are so fragmented, and in such disarray, there really is no opposition to her. If we were a fraction as organized and as effective as Black Lives Matter, she couldn’t get away with this. But unlike the left, we have lives, jobs, families, and responsibilities. If the party leaders didn’t cave to the left and tried to unify the party, Hill-a-beans couldn’t pull this crap. I’m in the second phase of getting my concealed carry, which miraculously, is possible at the moment because the Sherrif is running for congress. After that, good fricken luck. As the despicable Reverend Wright said, “the chickens have come home to roost”

The leadership in the GOP never really tried to stop Obama and that is why they are in the situation they are in now. There is little chance they will ever be effective at stopping Hillary either and I think the people realize it and that is how we got Trump.
      Good luck getting your CCW!

Once elected Lard Ass has all the options she needs to disarm the public from shitcanning the second amendment to deciding who is an able bodied citizen. The best we can hope for is the dissolution of the now defunct republican party.
