The FBI to release redacted Orlando terrorist 911 tapes without references to terrorism
The reaction of both the left and the right in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack in a gay nightclub last week was as predictable as it was disgusting: the right used this tragedy in an attempt to exploit Barack Obama’s ineptitude and seemingly unwillingness to confront a scenario which is likely to become more commonplace as the weeks go on while the left took advantage of this horrible act to push gun control.
In my opinion this was disrespectful to the dead, their families, and their friends and I purposely avoided getting sucked into the debate last week because I found it to be unseemly to use such a tragedy to promote a political agenda in the guise of doing it to honor the dead–on both sides.
The reaction was agenda driven and had nothing to do with anything else and the agenda is still being driven with the news that the FBI is going to release the 911 transcripts…sort of.
According to this story the FBI is going to release the transcripts of the 911 calls while redacting any reference to jihad, ISIS, or any other terrorist group. Here is more:
In an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd, Attorney General Loretta Lynch says that on Monday, the FBI will release edited transcripts of the 911 calls made by the Orlando nightclub shooter to the police during his rampage.
“What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of alleigance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda,” Lynch said. “We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to the Islamic State].”

LYNCH: We will hear him talk about some of those things, but we are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance and that.
Loretta Lynch claims the FBI will not be releasing his pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups so as not to further his agenda but I would make the claim they are doing so to further their own agenda, just as they did in the wake of the Benghazi terrorist attack when they also downplayed the role of radical Islamists by claiming this was a spontaneous reaction to a You Tube video nobody had ever heard of before the attack

This post relates directly to the prior post. Why is the government editing the 911 calls? We need transparency. The government has an agenda and it does not want the public to know.

You are right, Steve, tragedy that is used for political gains is a bunch of crap. There are families that lost loved ones, DC needs to back off and let them grieve, but they probably will not.

It makes you wonder who is radicalizing who. Most of the so called U.S. terrorist who were arrested were set up by the FBI. So it makes you wonder about those who were killed. Did the FBI just screw up?

The “big lie” requires someone being on the 5 Sunday morning t.v. shows. Just like Susan Rice with her video lie. That was the “tell.”

Wow. Can I get a “cognitive dissonance”, anybody? The writer does the exact same thing the he criticizes others of. You do not want to give the asshole a voice? In my opinion, it is the best thing for our security to not release the tapes of even redacted transcripts. It should be sufficient to only release a summary of them. We now know that this killer stated that we should expect more attacks to immediately follow. What if this is a message? What if this causes some other nut to advance their time table and start killing people? Nothing good comes out of the release of these tapes.

Thanks for stopping by and voicing your opinion. I would have had no problem if they had decided not to release the tapes at all or if they decided to release them in full, my problem is that by releasing only a partial transcript it was ripe with political undertones and eventually the government realized they were wrong and released the entire transcript.

Wasn’t there going to be a word change of inserting GOD for ALLAH? Seems a bit off and misleading to do that, but then again it is Loretta Lynch and her boss! Apparently it is ok to use GOD in this context, but not anywhere else…………riiiiight!

Yes they did change allah to God! From what I understand allah means God so it would seem on the surface this is not a big deal but it is a big deal because they are once again trying to downplay the jihad aspect to this whole thing.

I have big problem when the anti Christian progressives start their equivalency of allah with God. This is the same crap the Pope is trying to foist on the public. “Oh we are all the same and we believe in the same god. The Bible and quran are not the same. This is the slippery slope of progressive revisionism.

The other point is the transcript says Arabic. I thought he was of Afghan decent. Afghanistan’s native language is Pashto.
