Fox News and Newt Gingrich part ways fueling speculation he will be Donald Trump’s running mate
According to this story Fox News and Newt Gingrich are parting ways due to a potential conflict of interest. The last time these two parted ways it was because the former Speaker of the House was running for President. This has naturally fueled speculation that Newt Gingrich is going to be Donald Trump’s running mate. Here is more:
Fox News announced it would be cutting ties with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich due to potential conflicts of interest, as presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump is expected to name his choice of running mate soon. The move has fueled speculation that Gingrich might be The Donald’s VP pick.
“Fox News Channel has mutually agreed to suspend its contributor agreement with Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich effective immediately,” the channel’s Executive Vice President Jay Wallace said in a statement Tuesday. “Due to the intense media speculation about Gingrich’s potential selection as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, we felt it best to halt his contributor role on the network to avoid all conflicts of interest that may arise.”
The Donald has mentioned four potential candidates including Gingrich. The others are Indiana Governor Mike Pence, Lt. General Michael Flynn, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Commentators have already interpreted the Fox News decision as evidence that Gingrich is Trump’s choice for VP, noting that Fox also suspended its relationship with Newt before his presidential run in 2012.
This comes after days of speculation that Mike Pence would be the choice of the billionaire businessman, with one report saying it was 95% certain and the announcement could come as early as tonight.
Personally I do not like Newt Gingrich as a choice because I believe he is a big government establishment politician and I also believe when it comes to his personal life and his supposed morals that he is a hypocrite, although Donald Trump does need to name somebody with some experience in my opinion…
The rumors are heating up but this seems to be a pretty legitimate sign of what is to come but who knows, there could be other reasons why Fox News and Newt Gingrich decided to part ways–we will just have to wait and see.

Other than the comment he made the other day about black (which was not politically correct among conservatives), there really isn’t any other reason for the termination of the contract. The simplest explanation tends to be the one that us most likely to be true.

I cannot see any other reason either, especially when this would seem to be the time when he would be most valuable to the network.

Considering its only a couple of days out, it appears to answer the question. The plus is that he can put together a coherent sentence. A plus. Pence has to decide by Friday if he seeks to run again for Governor. The fact that Trump will probably make the announcement Friday leans a bit toward Pence, since Pence will have to announce Friday as I understand it. One can’t run for two offices in his State.

I kind of think that Pence is the one….but Gingrich would be fine, too. They both bring strong points to the campaign,,,,now which will it be? I do not think anyone else is in the running at this point. Guess we will be finding out, shortly.

Bunkerville and Lou, it sounds to me like it is going to be Pence at this point. Pence is more conservative than Newt, I think Newt is a phony. The only problem with Pence is probably name recognition but I guess Trump has enough of that for both of them.

Gingrich is getting a bit old to be thinking of becoming President after Trump has had his time….that would be one of my drawbacks, but he knows where the skeletons are buried….that would be a plus. Still, I think that Pence, does not have much against him, will be young enough to continue on. I think that Gingrich, even if he is not the VP will have a place in the cabinet….we are going to need alot of people that can straighten this crap out, IF it can be done.

Newt is very articulate but he does have skeletons in his closet and I think they would undermine the attempt to attack Hillary for her skeletons. As far as I can tell Pence has no skeletons and is an upright guy.

This seems strange to me, I just don’t see it. BUT …
Trump is reportedly looking for a mainstream politician with a history in Washington.

It is odd because he has been running against the establishment but I think he knows he needs somebody with a little experience. I will check my email.

I kind of changed it by mistake, I didn’t realize what I was doing when I did it, I was surprised when I saw it show up here. But that pic has so much meaning to me: we took that selfie on the night when I finally confessed to Lauri that I needed to talk to her pastor. To me that pic represents the night when I took the first real step in returning to Jesus Christ!

Bad storms just moved thru Illinois, sirens were going off….hopefully settling down to just heavy rain now. For years I went out reporting on the storms…call me crazy, but loved doing it…instead of hitting the basement, I was out in the middle of it….
