November 13th open thread: ‘Everybody Knows’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 13th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we discussed 9 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? Earlier this week Leonard Cohen passed away at the age of 82 so I thought I would share my favorite Leonard Cohen song. Here is “Everybody Knows” performed live in 1988.
How about a bonus video? One of my favorite singer/songwriters is Nick Cave. Nick Cave has been compared as a songwriter by some to Leonard Cohen. During a documentary on the legendary songwriter Nick Cave performed Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne” and I thought I would share this one with you as well.

Hey SDL, maybe they just like to travel and see new places. I was told the Farmers Almanac said we, here in the Midwest, were in store for a BAD winter, lots of snow and cold weather. I used to put the Miata in the garage over the winter and leave her there, other than one storm where it was too deep to drive (3-4 inches will bottom out the little girl), I have been driving her all winter for the past 4 or 5 years. Guess they are right that we are “due” some bad weather, we have just had mild ones for many years. I know things are changing, when I was little, I remember ALOT of snow. But, this is just the natural course of weather, I just cannot buy into the climate change because of what we are doing. We just now have the ability to track each year now. I bet had we been able to over many years, we would see that there is a big fluctuation naturally.
I really am a winter person, love the snow. I am not as sure footed as I used to be, but loved to skate and of course snow mobile in Wisconsin the 4 years I lived there. Here in the middle of Illinois, not much goes on. Most people hibernate. I still like when the snow comes down in the middle of the night, to get out, bundled up and walk the streets in the neighborhood…it is quiet and new and clean. Then in the morning, all the trees sparkle, what is more beautiful than that?

Hey Swiss. Yep, today I’m seeing the ‘evils that be’ using the brainwashed to riot to the point that there’s either a Civil War or that the Electoral reassesses and proclaims Helga the winner. One source states that’s too late now – Thank God!! Although it might take some nose punching and spanking (I’m not talking kids under 12 yrs) of the ‘stunted and immature’ youth (18-30) who are suppose to be adult and thinking for themselves, to come to reality that they’ve been fed the toxic koolaid w/out their knowing it – slaves of the establishment, thinking themselves SPECIAL and FREE.

And It Is Very Troubling When This Appear In Someone Over 12 Years Old…Lack Of Education And May Be Even More…THE TV!

The first few notes of Suzanne transports one back to the good old days of hippydom when Stephen Still’s lovelust Judy Collins had a minor hit with this song. It reminds one of the innocence lost, of a time when our mantra was “make love not war” as opposed to today’s wanton hatred filled violence and words aimed at anyone who disagrees with the commie/socialist/progressive agenda, fueled and paid for by the most evil money changers since John D Rockefeller. The last time these leftist creatures had it right was in 1968 ioutside the democrat national convention in 1968 held in protest of the Vietnam war.

Yep, loved Cohen. I doubt there will be another voice like his, some people just have so unique of a voice that you know immediately who it is. Leonard Cohen was one of them. There will be similar voices, but none such as his. RIP!
Yep, Peter, there was a time….we are starting to sound so old. I wish for the times when things were simple. Now, everything is complicated and has to be “correct” this or that. It is a bunch of bull and people need to develop thicker skins and realize that not everything is going to be “just so” for them. I have hope that Trump will start healing this flaw in the Nation. We know it is being taught to them, so why would they believe otherwise. The solution is to replace the teaching…..hi Bunker!

No there will never he another voice like Cohen’s, it was unique and easily identifiable. In this age with social media making it easy for these flash mobs and for pushing propaganda sadly things will never be as simple as they once were.

I would like to think all this was going to die down after a few days but this is being organized and funded from the top and from behind the veil. I hope eventually this is going to stop but Soros has plenty of money to spend and he is angry at the results of the election.
