November 20th open thread: ‘Wind of Change’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 20th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we discussed 9 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
On November 8th the voters had a choice; they could choose what would amount to Barack Obama’s third term or they could vote for a change of direction. The voters chose the latter so here is “Wind of Change” as performed live by The Scorpions in 2007.

Hey SDL! Hope you are well. I thought that first video was different than anything I have seen or heard, I liked it. As for “MOG”, I remember seeing that one,,,cute.
Have my family here for about 5 days, little ones, so will be busy being “Nana” for that time. Have been talking to my son about all that has happened in Politics….there is hope, he is going to be 37 and is very Conservative, he says many, many more are just like him that he knows….so yes, there is HOPE for this Country. I am thinking more positive now, more than I have in, let’s see, almost 8 years…haha! I am also starting to read that Harry Reid maybe was his own parties undoing with the Nuclear Option that he put thru in the Senate…I also think that Schumer stating that he will stop Sessions from getting in as AG might be jumping the gun. I know we have a long road ahead of us, but from the people I see that Trump is putting into place, we have a fighting chance of getting our Country back and maybe improving on what we had BEFORE Obama.

Yep, I think they did not factor in that “maybe” there might be a Republican nominee and then President-elect out of it….BIG MISTAKE!

I hope everyone had a fairly stressless last week. Now that the election is behind us I feel I need it. A couple of times last week I’ve had two different people try to engage me with a what if Trump did this question? This kind of thing makes me feel so annoyed. I had to ask the people why don’t we ask what if Hillary Clinton gets investigated for real instead? Why do the what if questions have to be negative toward Trump. I have to believe that the corporate Global mainstream media is behind these what if questions. I tried to get the people to think about how their thoughts are being controlled by this. But I was so surprised at how desperate they both were to engage in these conversations. And these are people that are supposed to be on our side.
On the positive side today is the Lord’s Day so I would like share another song that I enjoy very much.

How different is the ‘feeling and sense’ of this song vs the mindset and emotional outburst & vicious words of the those who have been ‘enticed and beguiled’ into the cesspool – by the serpent and demonic spiritual realm – thinking it clean and good!
When the serpent beguiled Eve to eat of the tree of knowledge [‘For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.’ Gen 3:5] I wonder if she ‘realized’ he was a liar. Instead of believing God she chose to follow the words of the enticer. Same thing going on today – but amplified by having a full bloom sin nature! that desires to be puffed up and pampered rather than restrained and disciplined (mature). By nature mankind is alienated from the Word of God and has no desire to eat of that Bread, rather the opposite (being spiritually dead in sin) and manifesting this darkness in those people who you’re pointing out – who are enslaved by the serpent’s tongue and are devoted like ‘members of the Borg’.
Really does show who the ‘god of this world’ (2 For 4:4) is and the ‘prince of the power of the air’ (Eph 2:2) doesn’t it!
They push ‘evolution’ and anti-GOD.

That is a really interesting question about Eve Zip! She didn’t seem to need too much coaxing to be persuaded and you are right; the same thing is going on today.

Yes, from the beginning it is about what we eat both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm. God’s enemy also eats. The Lord described him as a hungry lion seeking to devour.

Deborah, there are alot of people that just do not know what to think, maybe what they think they knew is not how it really is. There are ones on both sides of the fence asking questions. I figure that, without getting annoyed, I will just say how I feel about the whole election…they can accept it or not…I am done trying to convince another person of anything….it won’t change a thing with them, at that moment and it will just bug the hell out of me and put me in a bad mood. I am fresh out of BAD MOODS, we have holidays to deal with. Guess the most one can hope for is that, in their alone time, they have been given “food for thought” and after all, isn’t that what we want? Let them hash it out on their own.

Yeah Lou, it does seem as if nothing we say can change anybody’s mind but perhaps if there are results their minds will change. It is useless at this point, as we have seen with these protests, to try to change a person’s mind who does not even want to accept the possibility they were wrong. We will just keep trudging along hoping that someday people will come over to our side.

You’re right and I have felt so guilty for being annoyed with them. After reading everyone’s replies I’m beginning to think they just aren’t able to at this time. And it’s a matter of what you take in. That’s why I stay away from the real fake news. I woke up, hopefully they will at some point.

Steve, I think we gave the Hope and Change thing 8 years of “chance”, I only see that the Country went downhill and rather quickly. Now it is time to take another tack on how this Country is run from the top. I think we gave too much authority to the Administration and they abused it, ALOT….now it is time for the people to take back control. It is like when you give children just enough rope to do damage and you have to pull them back in a bit….the difference is that MOST children learn from the experience….this Administration, not so much, haha. Change course, yep, that is the order of the day.

Interesting it starts out about ‘what makes a man a man’, going thru the tribulations of life and growing in mettle, substance, etc, unlike today those who are given coloring books and safe places or a mask, baseball bat, rioting (deluded (brainwashed by the evils that be) to believe their freedoms have been taken away like an adult has stepped in the room to restore order and sanity) and blocking streets while vandalizing.

No, we should not permit it and we should do more to stop it…….Trump will deal with it, but he will bring the Democrats kicking and screaming and holding onto his pants leg, all the way.
