Democratic House Minority Leader challenger accused of sexism

  After the disastrous (from the Democratic perspective) Presidential election there are many Democrats who feel a change in direction and leadership is in order. One of those Democrats is Tim Ryan; he is challenging Nancy Pelosi for House Minority Leader. 

  However Tim Ryan is a man and Nancy Pelosi is a woman so he could not possibly think a change in direction or leadership is what is best for the party, he must be challenging the Minority Leader because he is a sexist and believes a man can do a better job. At least that is what ThinkProgess is claiming.

Rep. Tim Ryan’s challenge of the female Democratic minority leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, has ignited charges of sexism.

“This thing where an obscure male backbencher thinks he deserves to replace the most accomplished woman in Congress is how sexism works,” said Ian Millhiser, justice editor at ThinkProgress, a website affiliated with the Clinton-linked Center for American Progress.

“I’m genuinely curious if anyone can argue why Tim Ryan should replace Pelosi other than ‘she was in the job when something bad happened,’” Millhiser added.

  Of course this is just plain silly but this is the same type of unsubstantiated claims the left has been firing at the right for many years now so it is hard to feel sorry for him. Let us all join in in welcoming Tim Ryan to the club. How can we not revel in seeing the left turn on their own after the way they have attacked us all these years?

  The sad part in all of this is that the left has cried wolf so many times in the past that people are no longer taking it seriously and when a real instance of sexism or racism rears its ugly head nobody is going to believe them.
