DNC ignored the FBI’s warnings about Russia cyberattacks

December 17, 2016

For the purposes of this post we are going to stick with the official narrative that the Russians hacked into the Democratic National Committee’s emails in an attempt to help Donald Trump win the election.

If this story is true the FBI warned the Democratic National Committee several times but the warning went unheeded, here is more:

The Democratic National Committee brushed aside warnings from the FBI that its computer network had been breached by hackers linked to the Russian government, according to a New York Times investigative report.

The Time‘s examination of the election-related cyber attacks, compiled through interviews with dozens of those targeted, found that the DNC’s “series of missed signals, slow responses, and a continuing underestimation of the seriousness of the cyberattack” enabled Russia to “roam freely through” the committee’s network for nearly seven months without pushback.

But it gets worse because even after the FBI informed the Democratic National Committee that its system had been breached they still ignored the warnings:

When the FBI attempted to alert a DNC tech-support contractor that a hacker had breached the committee’s protected network, the staffer conducted a brief search of the DNC computer system logs to look for signs of intrusion. Even after the FBI continued to call over several weeks, the tech worker did little to heed the bureau’s warnings. According to an internal memo, the staffer said he “had no way of differentiating the call I just received from a prank call,” the Times reported.

His excuse? He thought it might be a prank call!

According to an internal memo, the staffer said he “had no way of differentiating the call I just received from a prank call,” the Times reported.

The higher-ups knew it was the FBI but they were preoccupied:

Andrew Brown, the DNC’s technology director, knew the tech contractor was taking calls from the FBI, but was preoccupied with evidence suggesting that the campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) had improperly accessed Hillary Clinton’s campaign data.

They were obsessed with another hacking from within their pwn party, (how ironic is that?), and these people we want to be in charge of our national security?

In the den of snakes and vipers they all like to keep each other warm and protected. All children of the lie. Those who murder the truth for their own gain, nothing new.

The DNC information came from a whistleblower according to Wikileaks. Someone who felt “disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders,” . The information was downloaded to a thumb drive or someother storage device. The download is not traceable.

Hillary and the Dem. are insisting the info came from Russian hacking. So far there is no evidence for this occuring. I would not trust a story from a Fake News outlet. They are only doing what they have been told. If they are so concerned now why didn’t they report on the death of Shawn Lucas who filed a lawsuit against the DNC on behalf of the BS supporters.

Yeah, I still don’t believe the Russia story. I think it is all just an effort to delegitimize Trump.

I can only hope Jeff Sessions goes after the whole lot of them with guns a blazing. Let them feed off themselves in a frenzy of self denial. We need to refocus attention on the lot of them just as they do to Conservatives and the GOP.
