Barack Obama claims he would have beat Donald Trump if he could have run for a third term

December 26, 2016

Over the long weekend Barack Obama made the claim that if he was allowed to run for a third term he would have defeated Donald Trump. Here is more:

President Obama suggested in an exit interview with his former top adviser that, had he been able to run, he could have won a third term in the White House.

Describing his confidence in an America that is “tolerant” and “full of energy,” Obama said: “I am confident in this vision because I’m confident that … if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it.”

Needless to say Donald Trump took exception:

“He should say that but I say NO WAY!”

But Barack Obama defended his comment:

“I know that in conversations that I’ve had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say the vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one,” Obama told Axelrod, defending his assertion.

The voters had a choice between continuing Barack Obama’s agenda by voting for Hillary Clinton–who was basically running on the promise of continuing Barack Obama’s agenda–or moving in a different direction and they chose the latter.

However I do not totally disagree with the outgoing President because I think any other politician with any name recognition probably would have defeated the billionaire businessman. The Democrats simply picked a horrible candidate who was one of the most disliked people to ever run for the Presidency. (Donald Trump is probably right behind her in this category.) I don’t think the voters rejected the agenda as much as they rejected the messenger.

While Donald Trump took this as an affront I do not think this comment was aimed at him. I think Barack Obama was taking one final shot at Hillary Clinton before he left office, there is no doubt there is no love lost between the Obama’s and the Clinton’s.

Of course my dislike for Donald Trump could be clouding my vision: I reject Barack Obama’s agenda and maybe the voters did also, maybe I am selling the voters short. Perhaps this is Barack Obama’s attempt at protecting his legacy by claiming it was not his agenda the voters rejected but rather the messenger. It’s not me, it’s you…

I too believe Cairbama would have won handily. While I was and remain 100% a Trump supporter I was sure the coal miners along with so many other groups disenfranchised by this anti-american fraud would have voted for him. A majority of voters, as evidenced by the 2012 election of the then president openly out to destroy the country, would have repeated the mistake. This assertion by Barry will dominate the conversation for the next four years as his speaking fees make the Clinton’s influence peddling look like chump change, small potatoes in comparison.

Oblabla would have sincerely liked to have been voted “His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshall … King of Scotland, Lord of all the Beast of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in General and Uganda in Particular”. And there is no question in my mind that he would have received at least 50.01% of the popular vote. THANK GOD WE AREN’T A DEMOCRACY for the Founding Fathers feared just such an outcome. And THANK GOD the Constitution hasn’t been dissolved yet, as Ginsburg would like.

I think he will have to settle for head of the UN…
The very reason the left is complaining about the electoral college is the very reason it was implemented.

He sure is going to cash in on this, isn’t he?! I think you are right about the coal miners and I also think there were Bernie supporters who did not vote for Hillary after getting screwed by the DNC.

Yes, I saw that. As my believer friend Roger would say, “What a pompous ___!” The reason he won at all is because of conniving and rigged machines last time. His cloud thinking is like a dark cloud with no rain or substance, just dark, void without any merit – without Truth’s light that provides a silver lining! He’ll look good in his orange jumpsuit.

Even better Steve, would be to have those who “rule over him and all the rest of their minions” to be first to be placed in Gitmo! But in this world that won’t happen until the one fine and terrible day of the LORD.

There is not a doubt in my mind that he had his minions search every possible way for him to remain in power. He does not go quietly into that dark night. He is not through with us yet. This next month? Anything can happen.

I agree Bunkerville and this whole UN thing just proves what type of rocky month it will be!

Another distraction by the Propaganda Press. How convenient this story appeared right on the heels of the UN vote on Israel and the ensuing firestorm. Once again just like a magician the faux press distracts the public’s attention and saves BO from the roasting he richly deserves.
