Donald Trump orders regulatory freeze on all government agencies until further notice

January 21, 2017

One of Donald Trump’s first actions as President, if not the first action, was to sign an Executive Order which he claims will lessen the burdens of Obamacare. To me this was nothing more than a symbolic gesture much like Barack Obama’s Executive Order which was supposed to close GITMO.

Shortly thereafter Donald Trump issued what amounts to a cease and desist order on all government agencies preventing them from issuing any more regulations for the time being. Here is more:

President Trump took a series of executive actions minutes after the inaugural parade concluded Friday evening, one of which was to place a regulatory freeze on all federal agencies until his administration provides further notice.

“The Trump administration will send a letter to all executive agencies tonight to immediately abide by a regulatory freeze,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters around 7:15 p.m. ET.

This was a central issue of Donald Trump’s campaign and it looks as if he is making good on it:

Reducing the regulatory burden on American industries was a central component of Trump’s populist campaign, and Friday’s executive order suggests the new Republican president is serious about taking steps to fulfill that promise during the first few days of his administration.

Barack Obama, in an attempt to try to slow down Donald Trump’s agenda before he took office, urged Federal agencies to issue hundreds of regulations. The problem with this, for Barack Obama and the Democrats, is that anything that is done through Executive Actions or regulations can be undone using the same processes and that is what Donald Trump is intending to do here.

I am not a fan of the Executive Order because, while there is a time and a place for them, this power is easily abused so I hope that after a review of which actions should stay and which actions should go we can get back to governing through the legislative process and stop with governing through Executive fiat. I just fear the temptation is too great…

Idiotic move. No one knows what it means so people are just listening to the lies about what is happening. No explanation about what it will do now and later. The rumors are rampant. He should have known better. Why not wait until Price was approved, and come out with a replacement plan. Trump just fed the beast.

He wanted to throw a bone to the right on Obamacare but there was no need to not wait for Price. Hopefully they are going to do this the right way or else it could backfire on them.

What the democrats have brought together, with the complicity of the GOP, let no president, judge or legislative body put asunder. Obamacare or a reasonable fac simile is here to stay. Health care will most likely in the foreseeable future become a right for all not unlike welfare and even worse social security benefits for those who have never contributed a cent into the system. Justice John Roberts who Trump celebrated as the most noble of creatures at his inauguration sold out the country and his supposed conservative values and in one fell swoop burdened the taxpayers in perpetuity while destroying a once great health care system. Good luck preside Trump but the stars are aligned against you on this one.

I also think Obamacare is here to stay, or at least some form of it. I never really expected the Republicans to be able to repeal it and now that it is in place they are probably going to be satisfied with making it better.

Freezing the operations I think is good. Replacing most, if not ALL, of those workers of inequity is next on the list. FIREing the enemy out of positions of previous leadership and positions of power – clean the slate and begin anew – afresh!
If I were in his position I’d do the same thing – I cut off the tentacles of the former admin. minions and cast them into the lake of fire … oh yeah, that’s God Refining dept. not mine, oops don’t want to get over zealous! Anyway, we’ve been so ‘conditioned’ to think the worse that it’s going to take ALOT of “mind altering” happenings to refocus our energies. That’s one thing that came to mind when listening to his acceptance speech (he wrote himself). I don’t know if I can ‘believe that will happen’. Giving power back to the people … and what do some do with that right off the batter, riot, protest and destroy other people property (feeling smug, warm inside and justified). THAT’s the perverted sickness that this admin. of demons has products and encouraged – weak minded simpleton fools who think they can think!
I checked out the new WH website. There’s an email reply form for those for wish to leave their comments for Trump, Pence, Malania (SO NICE TO HAVE A REAL 1ST LADY again!), which I did! They want our constructive feedback, so why not ‘give’ it to them!

OT but in the same vein: TRUMP CLEANS HOUSE WITH UN BILL
‘Before Trump was inaugurated, he already took steps to find out who his enemies were by having congressman Mike Rogers of Alabama submit the following, so it could be ready on day one of his presidency. Here is the abstract:
American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2017
This bill repeals the United Nations Participation Act of 1945 and other specified related laws.
The bill requires: (1) the President to terminate U.S. membership in the United Nations (U.N.), including any organ, specialized agency, commission, or other formally affiliated body; and (2) closure of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
The bill prohibits: (1) the authorization of funds for the U.S. assessed or voluntary contribution to the U.N., (2) the authorization of funds for any U.S. contribution to any U.N. military or peacekeeping operation, (3) the expenditure of funds to support the participation of U.S. Armed Forces as part of any U.N. military or peacekeeping operation, (4) U.S. Armed Forces from serving under U.N. command, and (5) diplomatic immunity for U.N. officers or employees.’
I’m sure being the ‘think far ahead’ minded person Trump is, he has a # of things already set up to knock-down the lame ducks and dismantle their ‘we built this’ perversion, on top of their lie foundation.
