Then vs now: Chuck Schumer on pausing Muslim refugees
By now you have all either seen the video, heard the comments, or read the transcript of Chuck Schumer crying while calling Donald Trump’s temporary pause in accepting refugees from some countries with ties to terrorism. Amid tears the new Senate leader claimed this so-called Muslim ban was “mean-spirited and un-American,” however he has not always felt this way.
I do not recall any outrage from Chuck Schumer when Barack Obama halted immigration from Iraq for 6 months back in 2011 but in addition to his silence back then he actually talked about the possibility Barack Obama would have to halt Syrian refugees from coming into the country back in 2015.
Here is more:
Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the third ranking member of the Senate Democratic leadership, on Tuesday said it may be necessary to halt the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the United States.
Schumer, however, declined to take the option off the table ahead of a special briefing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon on the process that is now used to vet refugees entering the United States.
“We’re waiting for the briefing tomorrow, a pause may be necessary. We’re going to look at it,” he said.
And he was not the only Democrat:
Centrist Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) signed a letter to President Obama Monday calling on him not to allow another Syrian refugee into the country unless federal authorities can guarantee with 100-percent assurance they are not connected to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Back then Chuck Schumer apparently thought it might be the responsible thing to do but now it is “mean-spirited and un-American” and will be used as a recruiting tool for ISIS. Isn’t it funny how things change depending on which party is in power?
malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
Pres. Trump tweeted: Nancy Pelosi and Fake Tears Chuck Schumer held a rally at the steps of The Supreme Court and mic did not work (a mess)-just like Dem party!
haha.
OT but connected:

It is also interesting how this contradicts evolution!

Yes, of course you’d ‘catch’ that! To think all of what goes on in this world and all the distinctness of each living thing, just happened from a big BANG! Stupid. BUT now they know that ‘aliens’ planted us here and they’re the ones who made us! But, they’ve yet to figure out who ‘made the aliens’ who made us … it’s all so confusing when the truth is hidden and people taught to reject God the Creator! How simple it is when we know: God created us, and those birds – to know what to do!
Brings to mind the Rolling Stone’s song, Sympathy For The Devil Lyrics “What’s my name?” the author of confusion: But what’s puzzling you Is the nature of my game

When you look at the complexity of nature it is inconceivable to me to think that this all just happened by mistake one day!

Schumer in 2010 gave a speech in which he said “Palestinian people still don’t believe in the Jewish state, in a two-state solution,” and also that “they don’t believe in the Torah, in David.” He went on to say “you have to force them to say Israel is here to stay.” He also said “And to me, since the Palestinians in Gaza elected Hamas, while certainly there should be humanitarian aid and people not starving to death, to strangle them economically until they see that’s not the way to go, makes sense.”
Schumer is a globalist who wants to destroy the US. On one hand he treats Israel with defferece and supports Israel’s jack boot on the Palestian people aka muslims. But he cries his fake tears and demands the US needs to do what Israel will not do.

In the end globalism is what it is all about and it must be tearing him apart that Trump got in there!

I see a double standard here….what used to be is not what will be now, IF it has to do with the Democrats. They are not going to take defeat easily, that is very apparent. I think we are in for a bumpy ride now and I know that President Trump is up to it, but it would be the civil thing to do IF the Democrats would give him the same respect that Obama was given when he was first in office. I know that is asking for alot and I also know that it will probably not happen. We have a bunch of immature brats that have been in office for more years than they should have been and they see the free ride starting to come to an end. I will include alot of the right side of the aisle, as well. They know who they are and they best start changing their ways, President Trump is not there to play games with them. I see a straight shooter in Trump and I think they are all starting to sweat a little. Good for them, maybe things will start to change…..

It is fun to watch them melt down!

We are owed this little melt down show, we have put up with 8 years of crap being shoved down our throats…however, WE did not throw hissy fits and did not go protest everywhere we did not disagree with someone. I see alot of protests that are going to happen and there will be alot of closet Republicans that will not speak out for fear of retaliation….I am not one of those people. I think, well, my opinion is if you start arresting some of them, the others might finally understand there are consequences to doing the illegal stuff they are doing. I would make believers out of them from the get go….of course that is just me….Trump, we’ll see how he handles them.

Yes I do think we deserve this! Trump is not your average Republican and I think he might even call out Republicans who do not call out Democrats.

He is going to go after the RINOs, I think. He should….this is the problem with a few of those in the Senate that are going to go against what Trump wants and side with the Democrats….they either are or are not Republicans,,,,we know what they should have behind their names….I am tired of McCain and Graham, they are paid for by the left and they have to keep the pot stirred. They need to be voted out and why they haven’t, I cannot understand. Well, no, that is not true, people are not paying attention and keep voting the way they always have….times have changed and those people need to get their shit together and open their eyes. We cannot afford to mess this one up.

It is inconceivable to me that these two keep getting voted in!

Well, you can say the same for Charlie Rangel or Dick Durbin, etc…we know what they are and one would think that others could see it, but guess they do not. You know when it comes time for their re-election, suddenly they are very attentive and are willing to “help” you and your neighbors out…haha. Do people have that short of a memory that they cannot remember how quickly they changed back to the same-o-same-o? I get sick of Durbin here in Illinois and while he is making his millions on my dime, he is putting the screws to me and everyone else in this state….I am not the smartest person in this state (really, I am not), but if I can see what he is doing, surely there are others that might catch on???? This is part of the big problem….they turn back to the DC mentality as soon as the election is over and have a number of years to stick it to us, once again…..

Here is Chicago and the Muslim march a couple days ago, shouting “Death to America”. I sure see no reason to bring in more people that hate this country….why exactly do THEY want to come here????
