Sunday, February 5th open thread: ‘Stressed Out’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, February 5th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we discussed 9 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I think my favorite lyric from Twenty One Pilots comes from the song “Car Radio.” In that song he sings about his car radio being stolen and because of this he has no distraction and is forced into thinking: “There are things we can do but from the things that work there are only two. Hey SDL, hope you are well and getting thru the Winter alright! We are having a very mild Winter here in the midwest, very little snow and temps have been moderate to warm. I actually am missing seeing the snow! All too soon we will be back outside doing yard work and I will be complaining that it is so HOT out, haha!

Good video! I remember during high school living up in Madison, Wisconsin, we had loads of snow….we had to shovel areas out on the street to put the cars in. The piles of snow would be 6-8 ft tall alot the sides of the street. There are alot of lakes around Madison and they froze so solid and deep that you could drive your cars on them and there was alot of ice fishing. There was also alot of snowmobiling. Here in Central Illinois, not much goes on all Winter, but sitting inside watching tv and eating, haha. I kind of miss Wisconsin. I did alot of skating and hockey back then, as well. Just a different way of life and only 1 state away.
We may get some snow on Wednesday, but bet that doesn’t happen….there are temps in the 50’s today and 60’s tomorrow…..will probably go to the outdoor range tomorrow or if it is raining, the indoor range….
Glad you made it this far this Winter without getting sick, last year you had some issues, didn’t you? Take care!

Hello Lou, no I’m not off the hook with my sickness. I will go to hospital next week for a check up and I have to take a bag with me, which mean,I may stay there…or not.
I Did Like Ice-Hockey Too, In The 60’s The Swiss Were Doing Ok…Then The Scandinavian Tcheq, Russian And USA were the top list, until they change the up growing, to rise again in the end of the 90’s and start to get for instance a Mark Streit playing this year in The Philadelphia Flyers some other in other club, they all are playing in the Swiss Team

If I were in the military I’d be ‘feeling’ alot better with Trump in than the fraud and antiAmerican. I like your presentation of the vid (haha) yes, they probably think that means the Fema camps for them – which might be a ‘healthy consideration’ if they’re bought and sold into the Globalist Occultic thinking! I heard the Navy Seal’s were getting bad mouthed for this – BUT just like that Judge who’s going against ‘keeping bad people out’ they don’t want to have to pack their bags and leave.

Could be they’re so GLAD to have the creep out and Trump in – rather than Hilly ~ imagine having to answer to her and be ‘ruled over’ by a more experienced ‘criminal’! Plus, the left goonies, did have Bari flags, posters and emblems. An P.A. at the local clinic wore a O symbol on his white jacket – I disliked him ‘right away’! the enemy! To me if he was ‘beguiled’ by ‘O’ he probably wasn’t a very good P.A. and incompetent. There are sides and division going on in the Nation and as Jesus stated: Mark 3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

Hi Steve, interesting selection and you provided info … good! … saves me time to dig into other matters! Like ~ considering why the youth and people in general have ” identity issues”? Use to be people ‘thought’, “I think, therefore I am,” and that was good enough, because they were working, making and building their lives. Today, “I am” has been twisted into a dark occult meaning of ‘man being his own god’ – back to the serpent temptation. But that doesn’t help the ‘identity’ because what does that mean? to be a ‘god’? Who’s able to teach that “truth?”
Comes down to: If a society is based on a Lie foundation, people are lost, blind and ignorant ~ not knowing who they are because the liar keeps telling them ‘who they aren’t’ (a person who’s born w/ a sin nature) or who they can be if they follow the lie! Teaching them tofocus on themselves, enticing them to fulfill their ‘desires’ (ungodly), because there’s no God ~ Who knows them, their ‘identity’, what they’re made of and what they can become that’s worth anything of VALUE w/ HIS help! Separating them from true HOPE for a future!

Zip, above the video you posted about “lies”, well, was wondering if you had seen the series Lie to Me? Actually it is pretty good and you can pick up on alot of what they are saying to look for….of course Dexter is always a good choice to watch, but he is demented in a good way to take out bad people…ha!

Yes, I liked that series Lie To Me – learned alot from it! I’d like it to have gone on longer. [Another one Leverage, was good too I thought – similar in a way, devices used for good.] I’ve not watched Dexter – I’ll check it out. BUT I like show that ‘teach’ something worth knowing instead of ‘indoctrinating’ the viewer of promoting low-life perspective and living (we all use to know the difference!).

Meant to mention, the Law is used more these days to protect the criminals and insane psychopaths then what God intended it to do – to protect the common wealth, serve justice for the good of all and uphold right standards of living and conduct. All those things certain low-lifes are determined to undermine and ‘change’.

They’re just UGLY. I can’t even watch it. Like the 1/2 time Super Bowl show that’s become a satanic occult worship service of the depraved.
