Fake News: AP reports Donald Trump will mobilize 100,000 National Guardsmen to deport illegals
Just one day after Donald Trump excoriated the false reporting of the mainstream media the Associated Press was at it once again. This time the so-called news agency reported that Donald Trump planned to mobilize 100,000 National Guardsmen through the Department of Homeland Security to round up and deport illegal immigrants.
This story was quickly denied by the White House:
Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, denied the AP’s report on Twitter shortly after it published.
“Not true. 100% false,”
The Department of Homeland Security also denied the story:
“The Department is not considering mobilizing the National Guard,” said Gillian Christensen, the acting press secretary for DHS.
It turns out a low level staff employee drafted this plan but it was never seriously considered by anyone important in the Trump administration:
A DHS official told The Daily Beast that the memo the AP cited was an early, pre-decisional draft, that Kelly never approved it, and that the department as a whole never seriously considered it.
Democrats are still posturing as if this is a true story:
Sen. Catherine Cortez-Masto, a freshman Democrat from Nevada, issued a statement ripping the memo.
“Regardless of the White House’s response, this document is an absolutely accurate description of the disturbing mindset that pervades the Trump Administration when it comes to our nation’s immigrants,”
In other words the story was false but accurate, just ask Dan Rather how well that defense works out. But she was not alone:
And Sen. Kamala Harris, a California Democrat, also released a statement decrying the memo.
“The mere suggestion that the President would consider ordering 100,000 members of the National Guard to go door to door checking people’s document status is deeply disturbing,”
Of course this genius is purposely ignoring the fact that Donald Trump was not considering this course of action because the memo never even made it close to his desk.
This is exactly why so many people do not take the mainstream media, or the Democratic Party, seriously any more. But the damage will still be done because this fake news story is still being promoted as real and many people will likely buy into it.

Just as bad as fake is their anecdotal approach to “news.” No need for facts or back up. More like a cross between wishful thinking and entertainment.

Nope, they just get the story and throw it out there and if it is wrong oh well. It doesn’t matter to them because they know people will believe the initial report and the correction (if there is one at all) gets buried.

Think you might be right, Bunker…low level…they don’t want to take out the BIG ones first, so have one of the flunkies take the blame, this time. Me, I am voting for taking out ALL of them and I think there is “fake” information given out to see where it travels to. Schumer is smack dab in the middle of this, along with Obamas Shadow Government. One label I will never pin on Trump is “stupid”, he will take care of this business…he is quick to jump the gun, sometimes, but I would rather have a President like that, than one that does nothing.

The media and reporters have a ‘god complex’ they figure they are the ‘makers’ of reality and what they say is “fact” and we should ‘be molded by their words’ or lies.
I’d like to see some be arrested for spreading their lies and for malicious intent designed to undermine the President and the well-being of this Country! Nail ‘um. Pick and burst their god bubble delusion and show the for what they are!

In order to sue a newspaper or a reporter I think you have to show malicious intent and there is no doubt in my mind this is what we are seeing here. If they have not crossed the line yet then they are getting close and the longer this goes on the more deranged they will get so it is only a matter of time before one of them steps too far over the line.

We missed the boat when Bush Jr neglected to issue an executive order on September 12th, 2001, putting the military on the northern and southern borders with shoot to kill orders. Even the pro-illegal immigration democrat party and its left wing media buddies would have been hard pressed to protest; opportunity lost forever.

That is interesting you brought that up, Peter, do you think that Trump would have done that very same thing you are mentioning? I think it would be a very big possibility that he would have. He is not messing around, he is bombing and cleaning house…and the left is SO upset about it and other than throwing a few wrenches in the gears, have nothing they can do. Can you imagine the frustration, for the first time in YEARS they really are not powerful?

What boggles the mind is the White House and it’s administration’s neglecting to point out that references to lard ass Clinton’s hypocrisy, etc are to illustrate the double standard. She along with the Campfire Girls running Obama’s administration can set the Middle East on fire and put Israel in harms way with the media’s tacit approval while Trump or his spokesmen neglecting to say Jewish holicaust is anti-Isreali, anti Jew. One possibility that should be considered is that this was an intentional fake leak by the Republican administration. The purpose of doing this would be to make the press less hesitant to publish news on leaks and to make them look bad.

I have a feeling that Trumps main enemy in the Senate is McCain. He just cannot contain himself, can he? When our people are out of the Country should they be stopped legally from taking a negative stance about America…..we saw Obama doing it, over and over. And yet, that seemed to be ok with the press.
