Jeh Johnson used an unsecured email account to send sensitive Homeland Security emails
I was not going to write anything about this because Barack Obama is gone and this will go nowhere anyway however there was nothing else I found interesting enough to write about so here goes.
Judicial Watch–which continues to do the job the Congress failed to do–has uncovered through a Freedom of Information Act request that Jeh Johnson, while head of the Department of Homeland Security, also used an unsecured email account to transmit sensitive information. And he was not alone, there were three others in the department that followed suit.
Here is more:
We have obtained 215 pages of documents containing official, sensitive emails of Jeh Johnson, former head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and three other top department officials sent through private, unsecured, webmail-based email accounts.
The documents include emails discussing high-level meetings Johnson was to have with the Kuwaiti ambassador and Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry officials, as well as a West African $4.5 million online consumer fraud scam.
We received these documents thanks a May 23, 2016, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit after Homeland Security failed to respond to a December 29, 2015, FOIA request seeking emails “relating to official United States Government business sent to or from” Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and three other top Homeland Security officials that used “non-‘.gov’” email addresses (Judicial Watch, Inc., v. United States Department of Homeland Security (No. l:l6-cv-00967)).
Here is some of what was transmitted:
The Kuwaiti ambassador to the US sent an email to Johnson’s unsecure email account attempting to set up a meeting for him with Kuwait’s Interior Ministry and discussing Kuwait’s Interior Minister’s having meetings with the heads of CIA, FBI and DNI
The US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia emailed to Johnson’s unsecure email account, discussing Johnson’s upcoming meetings at the Saudi Interior Ministry in Jeddah.
DHS Chief of Staff Marrone held sensitive discussions with an unidentified individual regarding the earnings of Lockheed Martin and a space vehicle launch consortium between Lockheed and Boeing, which the sender said to “use wisely.” Marrone also received procurement documents related to launch vehicles and their “Launch Infrastructure Capability.”
Johnson gave a “Progress Report” speech in which he cited the Homeland Security Department’s “strides in cybersecurity.”
That last one is rich wit irony is it not? He gave a progress report on DHS’s cybersecurity efforts from an unsecure email account. You just cannot make this stuff up…

Yes, and everyone is up in arms about Flynn…and that leak. Granted his issues were with the VP but still, talking to the Russian Ambassador?

Yep, the double standard is alive and well…

I predict in a few years, Democrats are going to find evidence that this Republican administration used unsecured email servers.

That would be pretty stupid of them but then again I would not be surprised.

It’s like they’ve inhaled … ‘insanity gas’! Not in ‘soundness of mind’ or clearness of thought, which is the thumbprint of the spirit of ‘confusion and derision’.
Trey is surprised when Benghazi is remember – he still hasn’t gotten the ‘truth’ of went on there, only paper full of lies and words of deception.

Sadly we are never going to get the truth on Benghazi and I think it is because the establishment Republicans know they had a role in it and they don’t want to be exposed either.
I have no doubt Obama is working behind the veil to take down Trump and I also have no doubt all the globalists are organizing all the protests we are seeing. They never thought Trump would win and now they are on the defensive and now that they are injured they will be very dangerous.

Either that Steve, or they figured if Trump did win that they could use their devices to further divide the Country. They’ve been teaching people for years the ‘new way of thinking’ = the lie program, without God. And now they have the First Lady (who’s a REAL Lady) presenting the Lord’s Prayer before she spoke!! The devil spirit filled minions gag over that!! haha. Funny. Anyway, knowing that God know’s what’s going on, knows people’s thoughts before they have them! and can move by His Spirit in ways that man cannot conceive of, gives a whole different perspective and element to the bigger picture. Forgot to mention, He also knows what the devils are scheming – since He designed mathematics, like playing Chess, He know ALL and EVERY possible move and intention – after all HE IS GOD!
I agree that there are more people involved in the Benghazi scene that don’t want the lime-light shining on them … I wonder if it will!

All very good points! The shadow government always has a backup plan and I think it is in motion right now.

I would not have been that quick to have his resignation, but then again, I am not in the loop. Given what has gone on within the last Administration, we should be used to corruption. I do not know if what Kelly did was right or wrong, but apparently the VP didn’t get the full story, so if they feel they need to deal with it the way they did, then that is what is going to happen.
We know Jeh Johnson was not even qualified to be in that position and to hear that he was not on a secure network doesn’t surprise me when the Sec of State was not using one, either. Can we do anything about it now? No, probably not. I wish we could do a repeat of what they did to ignore right and and wrong of the laws, but then we would be just like them, so will error on the side of accepting what Trump is doing…I helped put him there, so need to put my faith in him and his picks for his Administration.

I believe Pence was the one behind the move to get him out because he felt embarrassed. You are right about feeling like we should do to them what they have done to us but like you said we don’t want to be like them, they are the problem and they are on the defensive so now is the time to go on the offensive.
