Former Obama official admits push to get intelligence on Donald Trump before his inauguration

March 29, 2017

In an interview conducted at the beginning of March which apparently went unnoticed but is now beginning to make the rounds on the internet a former Obama official, Evelyn Farkas, admitted she insisted upon the importancy to gather intelligence on Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia before Barack Obama left office.

  Here is more:

A former top Obama administration official has acknowledged efforts by her colleagues to gather intelligence on Trump team ties to Russia before Donald Trump took office and to conceal the sources of that intelligence from the incoming administration.

Evelyn Farkas, deputy assistant secretary of defense under Obama, made the disclosure March 2 while on the air with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.

This is what she had to say:

“I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration,” Farkas, who is now a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, said.

“Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy … that the Trump folks – if they found out how we knew what we knew about their … the Trump staff dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

  She then continued:

“So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia,” she said. “So then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were trying to also help get information to the Hill.”

When she made the statement that she did not want Donald Trump to find out “how we knew what we knew” it was basically an admission that the Obama regime was up to something nefarious and was afraid they would be caught. And when this is coupled with the effort to get everything out there before the “how” was discovered it certainly looks like an admission they felt the need to get it out there before they lost access to the information once Donald Trump took office.

This in and of itself does not necessarily mean the Obama regime had Donald Trump under surveillance but it is hard to determine what else it could possibly mean if it does not.  There certainly is smoke here now and we know what that means.

I remember reading something not too long ago but it was along similar lines to this. From what I understand the Obama administration left some breadcrumbs to some of the information they had about Russia’s involvement in the hacking. The intention was that they would be found in an investigation.

I was wondering how somebody who resigned in 2015 had info about Trump spying. I then found this article. Now the story is worse. She was working for Hillary and apparently was being fed info from the WH.

“So how did this non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council, member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, gain knowledge of intelligence regarding members of Trump’s team and their relations with Russia, when she was the senior foreign policy advisor for Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton?”
