Is Donald Trump preparing to shake up his White House staff?
May 14, 2017
The headline of this post is put in question form because I am not sure how legitimate this source is but I get the feeling this is something the President is considering. According to this story Donald Trump is considering a major shake up of his staff. Here is more:
“The advice he’s getting is to go big — that he has nothing to lose,” the confidant said. “The question now is how big and how bold. I’m not sure he knows the answer to that yet.”
I have always found it odd that after promising to “drain the swamp” (a term he stole from the Democrats) one of his first moves was to bring in swamp member Reince Priebus as his Chief of Staff and I am no fan of Steve Bannon so if these two fall victims of a purge I will not be upset.
However with Ivanka Trump trying to push her father to the left this is a little troubling:
If Trump follows through, his innermost White House circle would shrink from a loop to a straight line of mid-30s family members with scant governing experience: Jared and Ivanka. So while the fighting and leaking might ease, the problems may not because it’s the president, not the staff, calling the shots.
Those are the last two people he needs counseling him in the White House but they are the two people he seems to trust above all others.
Getting control over the leaking is what I believe is the most important at this time and this would almost surely help to contain this problem. But it comes at a price. Is that price worth it?
That is the question but we have seen Donald Trump rise to the top amid controversy before and I would not be surprised to see him do so again. After all, he did shake up his campaign staff a couple of times when he was running for President and when everybody said these shakeups would cost Donald Trump in the end he got the right team together and won the Presidency. While I did not support Donald Trump at this point it is clear we cannot sell him short.

This may morph into a bigger, deeper family affair than already exists. He can’t or won’t fire family members who drive him and his agenda more left than they seemingly already have. Confidence in this president is a rare commodity out here among the great unwashed. Hopefully our fears will be soon dispelled.

I think relying on and listening to Ivanka and Jared is dangerous. Ivanka is a sjw and Jared is corrupt. Who the hell buys a building with an address of 666?
McMaster is double dealing Trump by feeding info to and relying on Petraeus. Mathis and Pompeo are two other troubling appointments. And all the Goldman Sachs appointments.
The new FBI needs to be above reproach. They should not some political hack.
Trump needs to trust his gut instinct more. Yes, he has a steep learning curve and the media is not helping things.
