Robert Mueller appointed as special counsel in Russia scandal

May 17, 2017

Things have really ratcheted up in the whole Russia hacking/collusion scandal in the last couple of days and today it was announced that Robert Mueller has been chosen as special counsel to oversee the investigation. Here is more:

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller to serve as special counsel to oversee the previously confirmed FBI investigation of Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters.

“I have determined that a Special Counsel is necessary in order for the American people to have full confidence in the outcome,” Rosenstein said in a statement.

The letter announcing the appointment reads that Mueller is authorized to investigate “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and…any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation.”

The appointment comes as numerous Democratic lawmakers have called for a special counsel, colloquially known as a special prosecutor.

This could be an attempt to appease the Democrats who have been calling for a special prosecutor for weeks now. To date there has been nobody in the government who has been able to state there is evidence that points to collusion between Donald Trump and Russia and I do not think there is or we would have already heard about it with all of the leaks coming out of Washington.

However I get the gut feeling that Donald Trump is not going to be able to survive this onslaught. Donald Trump is taking on the Democratic and the Republican establishment, who do not want him in the White House, as well as the deep state and just last week Chuck Schumer warned Donald Trump about taking on the intelligence agencies saying they have “six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

That sounded a bit like a veiled threat and now we might be seeing the beginning of their revenge with the leak of James Comey’s transcripts.

Donald Trump might be trying to “drain the swamp” but the swamp creatures are not going to go down without a fight and they know all the angles, they are professionals while Donald Trump is an amateur in the arena. I still believe this is much to do about nothing but I question whether Donald Trump can survive but at the very least they have brought Donald Trump’s agenda to a standstill.

I would feel better about his chances if the Republicans had the nerve to stand up and fight but they do not because they were never really behind him in the first place.

It is a shame that the country has become an oligarchy. Rule by an elite group with all the benefits accruing to themselves through the use of crony capitalism. When they destroy Trump they will have nullified the constitution.

The Democrats and Republicans are the same party.

Yes they are the same party and in the end they will band together to take down an outsider who they feel is a threat to them.

MSNBC … go fake news! It sure would be nice if creepy scheming Schumer and those like him, did their jobs and represent what’s best for the People. I hope they lose their position in the underground DUMB facilities when the nukes are let loose – that they caused. If they didn’t have the ‘confidence’ they weren’t of that special few who were going to be kept safe and alive they might be acting much differently.

They are only interested in doing what is best for them but they are pretty good at pretending they care about the little people.

    From the Duran

“Speaking to graduating students at the US Coast Guard Academy, he advised his audience to, “Never, never, never, never give up”.

    He further stated,

“Look at the way I have been treated lately, especially by the media.
No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly. You can’t let them get you down, you can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dream”.

His remarks were met with rapturous applause.”

Something in the White House stinks as does everything outside the WH. Something doesn’t add up. Could his election have been a pretense to give Ivanka and her insider elitest husband the opportunity to get their fangs into the deal bubbling up which calls for the Saudis plan, being encouraged by Trump, for a Middle East NATO type alliance which will lead to hundreds of billions of dollars in arms deals including war planes ships and missle technology? Just a thought.

I heard this clip yesterday and I was impressed with it, he isn’t going to go down without a fight.
