The Washington Post claims the Russia investigation has reached somebody in the White House

May 19, 2017

The Washington Post is at it again, using anonymous sources to push the Russia investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, this time claiming the investigation has now reached the White House.

  Here is more:

The law enforcement investigation into possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign has identified a current White House official as a significant person of interest, showing that the probe is reaching into the highest levels of government, according to people familiar with the matter.

The senior White House adviser under scrutiny by investigators is someone close to the president, according to these people, who would not further identify the official.

The revelation comes as the investigation appears to be entering a more overtly active phase, with investigators shifting from work that has remained largely hidden from the public to conducting interviews and using a grand jury to issue subpoenas. The intensity of the probe is expected to accelerate in the coming weeks, the people said.

The sources emphasized that investigators remain keenly interested in people who previously wielded influence in the Trump campaign and administration but are no longer part of it, including former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

I do believe Michael Flynn might have something to worry about but I suppose that is what happens when you put someone who until recently has been a lifelong Democrat in your cabinet…

Last week Donald Trump flatly denied any collusion between himself and Russia during the campaign although he added the caveat that he could only speak for himself

“I respect the move, but the entire thing has been a witch hunt. There is no collusion – certainly myself and my campaign – but I can always speak for myself and the Russians – zero,” he said at a joint press conference with the Colombian president, Juan Manuel Santos.

Despite all the wild accusations people like Maxine Waters have been making of late every single person interviewed have said there is no evidence, to date, of any collusion. Still, Donald Trump’s caveat is interesting: either he knows or suspects somebody in his campaign acted improperly and is distancing himself from this person, or he does not know and is distancing himself from the possibility, or he knows that somebody is going to go down eventually and he is distancing himself from the eventual fall guy.

At this point Donald Trump’s agenda has been successfully stalled and even if nothing comes from this investigation, which is sure to last the length of his term in office, the Democrats can claim victory on that front. And I believe that is what this whole investigation is really all about.

I hope it’s Ivanka. Imagine the left bringing down one of its own. Yuk yuk yuk.

It’s her husband, Jared. He is supposedly connected to Soros.

Exactly what did the Russian’s do to influence the election? The Democrats say there was no voter fraud, other than their usual rigged voter roles. Meanwhile don’t look at all the illegal foreign money that went to Hillary. Nah, there was no influence buying.

More buffooanry from the left – the Guardian suggested it was Jared Kushner, however, as part of the trasition team he contacted a number of foreign leaders to pave the way for President Trump. No crime involved – the left is becomming more banal than thought possible. Instead of trying to fix the democrat’s party they engage in silly childish tantrums. The only people buying into their nonsense are the l;eftist base of the party….critical thought a seemingly foreign concept on the left…
