Lindsey Graham says Donald Trump may ‘go down’ because he can’t keep quiet about the Russia investigation

June 11, 2017

Lindsey Graham appeared on Face the Nation earlier today and he had some interesting comments in regard to Donald Trump, the Russia collusion scandal, and the President’s agenda.

Here is some of what he had to say:

Here is what I would say. The president got elected by being a fighter, a disrupter. People wanted him to come to Washington and change the place, turn it upside down.

I have gotten to know the president better. I like him. He has got a good agenda. But here is the question. Can you be a street fighter on all things all the time and still be a good president?

My advice to the president is every day you are talking about Jim Comey and not the American people and their needs and their desires, their hopes and their dreams, you are making a mistake.

It is not often that I agree with Lindsey Graham but this is one of those times. Donald Trump might be a “fighter” and a “disrupter” as Lindsey Graham said however it is the Democrats who have successfully disrupted his agenda by keeping the focus on the Russia collusion investigation and Donald Trump is not helping himself because he cannot let this go.

I understand Donald Trump’s anger after having been called a liar by James Comey during his testimony the other day however he should focus on his agenda and let the investigation take its course. He did himself no favors, although it plays well with many of his supporters, by calling James Comey a liar and a coward while basically challenging the Senate to put him under oath. (A challenge Chuck Schumer has taken him up on by the way.)

By continuing to take the bait Donald Trump is letting the Democrats sidetrack his agenda and Lindsey Graham feels as if in the end this could take him down.

At the end, he has got a good agenda. But this does get in the way of it. So, the hearing was pretty good. No collusion with the Russians yet. I don’t think obstruction of justice exists here.

But every time you tweet about Comey, it is almost like wait for the next wrestling match between Comey and Trump. It should be about what can Donald Trump do to help the lives of American people and sort of get out of the way here.

DICKERSON: Do you think the president was vindicated? He thought he was vindicated…

Well, I think it was true that he is not under investigation for colluding with the Russians. And I don’t think what was said amounts to obstruction of justice.

Now, what the president did was inappropriate. But here is what is so frustrating for Republicans like me. You may be the first president in history to go down because you can’t stop inappropriately talking about an investigation that, if you just were quiet, would clear you.

donald trumpDonald Trump said he was vindicated after James Comey’s testimony and there were a few reasons why he was justified in feeling this way: it was shown he was not under investigation, there is still no evidence of collusion, he did not obstruct justice, Loretta Lynch actually tried to obstruct justice, and there was enough evidence to indict Hillary Clinton but James Comey decided not to.

But instead of resting on this he decided to go on the offensive again and now he is either going to have to testify in front of the Senate on an investigation he was not a part of or come up with some excuse which will be acceptable with the American people, especially those who do not support him, for declining the offer without looking like he has something to hide.

Donald Trump should leave this up to his lawyer and stop commenting on an ongoing investigation and focus on his agenda but he is letting the Democrats control the news cycle and his agenda has been ground to a halt because of it. Will he go down, as Lindsey Graham said, because of this? I do not know, but I do know his agenda has stalled and that is because he has let the Democrats control the narrative by feeding the swamp creatures. They know he cannot let this go and he is playing into their hands. It is time for his lawyer to tell him to back off…maybe he has and Donald Trump is ignoring him at his own peril.

Another ‘sick-en-ing’ politician. His name brings to mind the Nuke: ‘Found in the CBS report entitled ‘Graham: Nukes In Hands Of Terrorists Could Result In Bomb Coming To Charleston Harbor’, the report details Graham’s warning that a lack of military action in Syria could result in a nuclear ‘bombing’ in Charleston, South Carolina — the very destination of the black ops nuclear transfer. The CBS report reads:…Graham is quite literally saying that if we do not launch a war with Syria, South Carolina may be nuked.’ 2013
Now, how does that make sense?
Remember: Then we discover that on the VERY SAME DAY – a top nuke official with the military is fired. A few weeks later – another top official is fired.
… “A shocking new Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that President Barack Obama, while in a rage, ousted four of the United States top ranking military officers after they refused to detonate a nuclear device “in/near” Charleston, South Carolina this past week and, instead, exploded it off the Atlantic Coast.”
Anyone in-cahoots w/ that group – which he has the same mindset- still around today is not worthy to even bother listening to. But that’s why mainstream airs it.
Sometimes the fields have to be plowed and maybe it’s time.

I had forgotten all about that nuke story! No doubt Graham is part of the swamp and needs to go. I know he would like Trump to go away but I think he makes a good point this time.
