Charles Grassley goes after Andrew McCabe for possible conflicts of interest

June 29, 2017

In this post I wrote yesterday we learned that acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe is under Federal investigation for a possible violation of the Hatch Act by publicly campaigning for his wife.

It is not getting any better for Andrew McCabe today because it is being reported here that Charles Grassley has concerns about possible conflicts of interest in previous investigations and whether he should be allowed to conduct the investigation into Donald Trump’s Russia collusion scandal. He has sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein addressing these concerns. In question is Andrew McCabe’s independence

  Here is more:

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is raising questions about possible conflicts of interest with acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and the FBI’s investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Grassley released a letter Thursday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in which he raised concerns about McCabe’s independence. The letter comes as conservative media outlets are increasingly targeting McCabe and other officials involved in the investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia in the Kremlin’s efforts to influence the presidential election.

One of the questions Charles Grassley is concerned about goes back to his wife’s campaign and the fact he did not recuse himself from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal even though his wife accepted a donation from the failed Presidential candidate:

Grassley noted that the Justice Department inspector general is investigating whether McCabe should have recused himself from the Hillary Clinton email probe, since McCabe’s wife got donations from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton ally, when she ran for a Virginia state Senate seat.

And then there is the possibility that Andrew McCabe went after Michael Flynn unfairly for political reasons because the short-lived national security adviser was a witness against him in another proceeding:

“That evidence and the failure to recuse calls into question whether Mr. McCabe handled the Flynn investigation fairly and objectively, or whether he had any retaliatory motive against Flynn for being an adverse witness to him in a pending proceeding,” Grassley wrote.

If this is true it is clear Andrew McCabe is a political partisan hack who should not be in charge of the Russian collusion scandal.

Another effing attorney who failed ethics. He also failed to report his wife’s campaign contributions. He failed to report he is involved in an EEOC case that is pending.

McAuliffe’s PAC, and other Clinton bagmen provided $881,469 in funding to Jill McCabe in 2015, or half of the amount she raised during her race. Wink wink the money was not paid to obtain Andrew’s help on the Clinton email investigation. Oh no that be wrong!

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsHey, you want them to be happy don’t you CJ … isn’t that what it’s all about! Just shows one can’t discern too much of their character or ethics by this picture, so good to note the facts.

Yes, there’s a bunch of rotten, stinking eggs in that batch Steve and they promote their sickness on others. Brings to mind: Matt 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Seems that its the same “spirit” huh Steve.

Great verses Zip! So many people are one way on the outside and another way inside, it brings to mind Matthew 15:8 as well: “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” Also Isaiah 29:13.

Yep, exactly. Like your selection of verses (both old and new testaments speak that same truth!). How fun for you to find and connect the dots! 😊 Helps make these topics bearable! knowing that the ONE who knows all that’s going on know the ending of it too – we just trust Him to see us thru! 🌼

It is pretty cool when you connect the dots between the two Testaments! I have been doing that quite a bit lately, looking at the all the connections between the books and it is fascinating.

The holy Spirit is having fun teaching you God’s Word and cracking open the Lord’s fresh bread for you to munch on, consuming his Word, and washing it down with the Living Water (drinking it in) to your full! YAY, good for you! When it was ‘revealed’ to me too ‘the books connection’ I was astonished – something stirred in me! “How wondrous it that!”
Bringing Luke 23:13 scene to mind how the risen Jesus talked to these two along the way and then verse 30 and 31 happen! The Teacher: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Cor 2:10 (The One Jesus promised in John 14-16 ~ The Comforter)!

The best part is when you have one of those AHA! moments when you either figure out something you did not understand before or make a connection you hadn’t seen before.
