Is Russia colluding with US environmental groups to discredit fracking?

July 12, 2017

All the talk in Washington these days is about Russia election collusion but despite Donald Trump Jr.’s damaging email release yesterday there is still no solid proof any collusion occurred. Do not get me wrong, I am not defending the President’s son because these emails showed he was willing to collude with Russia but because he was duped there is still no proof any collusion took place.

The left, and many of the establishment Republicans are up in arms that Russia may have interfered in the election but the left has said nothing about the possibility that Russia was and is colluding with, and funding, leftist environmentalist groups in order to discredit natural gas fracking to benefit their nation’s energy exportation.

Here is more on this burgeoning scandal:

The real action is in the European and U.S. energy markets, according to a letter from two Texas congressmen to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that details what they call “a covert anti-fracking campaign” with “little or no paper trail.”

Smith and Weber quote sources saying the Russian government has been colluding with environmental groups to circulate “disinformation” and “propaganda” aimed at undermining hydraulic fracturing. Commonly called fracking, the process makes it possible to access natural gas deposits.

The sources include a former secretary-general of NATO, who is quoted by the GOP congressmen as saying:

Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations—environmental organizations working against shale gas—to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas.

And here is more:

This anti-fracking campaign seizes upon environmental issues and health concerns that could be used to constrain U.S. drilling and fracking exercises, the letter explains.

Gazprom, a large Russian oil company, stands to benefit if Russian-funded environmental activism results in reduced levels of fracking and natural gas production in the United States, Smith and Weber tell Mnuchin. They write:

It is easy to see the benefit to Russia and Gazprom that would result from a reduction in the U.S. level of drilling and fracking—a position advocated for by numerous environmental groups in the U.S.

I cannot help but think back to the ridicule Mitt Romney took during the 2008 campaign for calling Russia America’s number one geo-political enemy because it now appears as if he knew what he was talking about all along.

So here we have the left all up in arms because of Russia collusion while at the same time welcoming, if this story is true, Russia collusion on an agenda item near and dear to them. Hypocrisy much…

With the way the left is throwing around the word “treason” everyday, if Russia is indeed colluding with these environmentalist groups to harm the United States and help Russia, and using their standard, is this not treason?

Well, the left is giving us a real gift with this treason bit. With any luck the Progs will over play their hand. Politics is a dirty business and we are seeing it go down in spades. Sit back and get the popcorn. About all I feel like doing.

This whole story stinks. Trump goes to the G 20 and meets with Putin and has a good talk. The neocon elite go ballistic and go to DEFCON 3. This is dirty tricks at its worst. The 2018 election should be a house cleaning. The two idiot parties have wasted time and money letting the country fall apart.

I just saw a little while ago she was let into the country without a visa for “extraordinary circumstances.” I guess we know what those circumstances were now. This whole thing smells like a setup and Jr. fell right into the trap.

Well the US has been interfering with Russia and its gas busines for quite a while. Russia’s Gazprom sells 80 per cent of its gas to Europe. Apparently the elite want to cut Russia out of this business. The (CIA) war in Ukraine is about gas. The (CIA) war in Syria is about competing gas pipelines.

Also involved in this mess is George Soros who is supporting both sides in the fracking issue. Who would not be above sowing disinformation about Russia. It also seems odd that Tilerson as head of ExxonMobile was not aware of Russia’s interference.

I guess this is the next episode in the Russiagate saga after the Don Jr. story implodes.

haha. Yeah, there’s ALOT of “truths” ‘we the people’ are suppose to be silent about! Usually goes with Deep State Corp. social conditioning (as soon as we pop into this world)! “This is right, this is ‘ok’, ‘no’ don’t do that, or go there, just do as we say and all will be well with you.” wrong

Yep, they are indoctrinating the children almost from kindergarten to become fine little statists. I remember when Kellyanne Conway took heat for saying there were “alternative facts” but the left has been promoting the idea of there being more than one “truth” for a long time.

Why did Trump go to Poland ahead of the G 20 meeting? The answer is gas!

“none other than Donald Trump has been hoping to “steal” Russia’s European natgas relationships and clients, in hopes of making the US become the dominant supplier of LNG to Europe. According to Reuters, Trump “will use fast-growing supplies of U.S. natural gas as a political tool when he meets in Warsaw on Thursday with leaders of a dozen countries that are captive to Russia for their energy needs.”

The fracking story is beginning to smell and not of rotten eggs, but of a false flag to fool the public.

This could be a false flag but I think there is some truth to it. There is a difference between Trump promoting US energy and trying to export it and Russia workinf subversively with US environmental groups to harm US energy exports.

This a Russian George Soros or Warren Buffet manipulating the market.

“It is unlikely that the Kremlin is directly involved in doing so in the United States, according to Ron Arnold of the Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise.

“If anybody in Russia is behind all the secretive Bermuda investment house and law firm action, it’s most likely some oligarch bidding against U.S. competition,” he said in an email.”
