Sunday, July 16th open thread: ‘Gone Daddy Gone’

Last week we discussed 7 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower.
Last night we saw Echo and the Bunnymen and the Violent Femmes perform live in Boston at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion and it was a great show. This is the first time any of us have been to that venue and it is a great place to see a show. Here are the Violent Femmes performing Gone Daddy Gone live from Philadelphia last week.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I have always found it strange that peanuts can be so dangerous all of a sudden when we never heard about this when I was in school. Something changed and this might give us the answer.

Another interesting video! Technology is good but it does have a down side. Critical thinking is being replaced and that is dangerous to say the least. I see myself falling into that trap on occasion because it is so easy to do but nothing can replace rational thinking and common sense. I should say nothing SHOULD replace rational thinking and common sense.

Trump nailed that one! The Violent Femmes are definitely unique, there is nobody else out there in my opinion that sounds anything like them. What a great show they put on last night. On a side note, the singer of the band is a Christian.
