Did Donald Trump reach an agreement with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on the DREAM Act?

September 14, 2017

I woke to the news emblazoned all across the internet that last night Donald Trump reached an agreement with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on the DREAM Act. The deal supposedly grants amnesty to the dreamers while providing for more border security without funding the wall.

Of course some sites were talking about how Donald Trump caved to the Democrats and this was sure to send the President’s base fleeing. But is there a deal?

  Here is more:

The top House and Senate Democrats said Wednesday they had reached agreement with President Donald Trump to protect thousands of younger immigrants from deportation and fund some border security enhancements — not including Trump’s long-sought border wall.

The agreement, the latest instance of Trump ditching his own party to make common cause with the opposition, was announced by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi following a White House dinner that Republican lawmakers weren’t invited to attend. It would enshrine protections for the nearly 800,000 immigrants brought illegally to this country as kids who had benefited from former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program, which provided temporary work permits and shielded recipients from deportation.

That certainly sounds like an agreement, but here is more:

“We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides,” Pelosi and Schumer said in a joint statement.

So they agreed to reach an agreement.

And isn’t that what Donald Trump wanted in the first place when he announced he was ending the DACA program? Despite the way the media and the Democrats portrayed his original announcement–claiming the deportations and internment camps were to start immediately, and families being ripped apart by the White Supremacist in the White House–the original announcement was always designed to get the Congress to act on a permanent and Constitutional solution.

Forget about it. Trump sold out. CBS New York, reporting this morning that Schumer “laid down the law”, to Trump. It’s over. Impeach him.

I always had this fear Trump was a closet Democrat, it wasn’t until fairly recently he became a Republican, and now we might be starting to see his true colors. Thanks for the reblog.

It sounds to me like they just discussed the parameters of a deal and nothing more but Trump is sending mixed messages today.

Listening to Greg Hunter’s ‘Update’ and he had some thoughts about this. But, I was thinking that if ‘illegals’ aren’t given the ‘perks’ and no ‘work’ they would have to return to Mexico or be arrested and sent back. Meaning there’s a ‘game’ being played and the dem*s aren’t in the position to ‘change the rules’ in their favor as they previously were and did. But, the Rino’s and Establishment are also stumbling blocks. Consider, if the Rep really stepped up to be “pro America MAGA” how this country would turn from going over the Falls! Wishful thinking?… maybe. Because they might be to far gone in the darkness (ignorance and ruled by their sin nature – w/ seared hearts and consciences), too unbalanced and disoriented to turn and “recognize” what’s good and wholesome (they’ve been possessed and polluted – may the Lord handle them quickly!).

The bottom line is the establishment Republicans also want to keep the illegals in the country, they just put on a show for the elections and are now showing their true colors.

It may have been a way by the Dems to set us up to fight amongst ourselves. Unfortunately he let the Dems say first what the meeting was all about. Nothing could make them more happy then to divide and conquer. I know you have been suspect of him, and so am I especially with his kiddies in the WH

Trump needs to learn how to get his message out there first, he let Pelosi and Schumer create the narrative and now he is on the defensive.
I have been suspect of him, and this is one of the issues I did not trust him on. I still believe there is a New York liberal inside of him and Ivanka and Jared are helping to bring it out.

It doesn’t really matter if Trump is a R or a D. The two parties are the same. The elite Rs want DACA and so do the Ds. We have been stuck with granting amnesty every time the issue of illegal aliens comes up. The country is fast approaching a tipping point where the majority of the population don’t know the reason the US exist. Additionally the food and drug industries have created a situation where the population can no longer be healthy and live productive lives. These are the ingredients for a major societal disaster.
