House Republicans open up investigations into the Uranium One deal

October 24, 2017

The revelation from last week that the FBI had evidence of possible collusion between the Clinton Foundation and Russia during the time the Uranium One deal was being negotiated and covered it up has sparked new interest in the deal.

More nefarious stories have come to light since that time, most notably: Barack Obama’s Department of Injustice threatened and stopped the FBI’s informant from testifying in front of the Congress, and that the 10 Russian spies who were arrested and suddenly transferred back to Russia were originally arrested because they were getting too close to Hillary Clinton during the Uranium One negotiations.

This is turning into quite the incestuous relationship: In addition to the apparent pay to play scheme between Russia and the Clinton Foundation Robert Mueller, who is heading up the Russia collusion investigation, was the head of the FBI when this evidence was uncovered and Eric Holder was head of the Injustice Department. So, because he was the Attorney General at the time he had to have known the FBI was investigating the link between the Clinton Foundation and Russia but at the same time he was sitting on the committee which approved the deal.

In light of all of this the Republicans have announced they are launching investigations into both the Uranium One deal and the Injustice Department’s handling of the Clinton Foundation scandal. Here is more:

House Republicans on Tuesday launched new probes into several Obama-era controversies, covering both the Justice Department’s 2016 handling of the Clinton email case and the administration’s 2010 approval for the sale of a mining company that gave the Russians partial control over American uranium reserves.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., announced his committee and the House Oversight Committee will investigate the so-called Uranium One deal.

“We’re not going to jump to any conclusions, but we’re going to try and get the facts,” Nunes said.

Separately, the House oversight and judiciary committees announced a joint investigation into the Justice Department and FBI’s handling of the Clinton email probe.

“Decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 have led to a host of outstanding questions that must be answered,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said in a statement.

Nunes said Tuesday the main question for Hill investigators will be whether there was an FBI probe at the time and “if so, why was Congress not informed of this matter.”

“It’s important that we find out why that deal went through,” Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said.

One has to wonder what took so long? The possible connection between payouts to the Clinton Foundation, Bill Clinton’s $500,000 speech in Russia, and the approval of Uranium One always looked shady. Apparently the new revelations about the FBI is what is driving this renewed interest so I guess it is better late than never.

I am not expecting anything to come from this, I am expecting another dog and pony show just like all of the other Republican led investigations but maybe, just maybe, justice will be served.

Robert Mueller needs to recuse himself from the Russian collusion investigation immediately. Jeff Sessions could not be reached for comment…

Love it…. Jeff Sessions could be reached for comment… he is being held hostage in some sanctuary city until the MS-13 gang is released.

They sure have fun doing all this conniving. When Hilly said she was ‘working hard’ she wasn’t kidding!

Another dog and pony show. I’m not impressed!

If DOJ can’t investigate and bring criminal charges then it needs to have all criminal justice powers stripped from its purview. Let the Supreme Court establish a Federal Prosecution Agency
