Four companies announce they will be investing in their employees thanks to the GOP tax cuts

December 20, 2017

The Democratic party leaders are up in arms over the passage of the GOP tax cuts and many of them are claiming that companies are not going to invest in their employees but rather pay dividends to stock holders and horde the money for themselves. I have no doubt that many companies will do this however we are beginning to see some companies say they will be giving out bonuses and raising the pay of their employees because of the tax cuts.

AT&T announced they would be giving all employees a $1,000 bonus and will be investing $1 billion in the United States:

The telecom giant said in a press release on Wednesday that it would give more than 200,000 U.S. union members a special bonus of $1,000. The company also increased its capital expenditures budget by $1 billion in the U.S.

“Congress, working closely with the President, took a monumental step to bring taxes paid by U.S. businesses in line with the rest of the industrialized world,” CEO Randall Stephenson said in a statement. “This tax reform will drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs. In fact, we will increase our U.S. investment and pay a special bonus to our U.S. employees.”

Bancorp announced a new $15 an hour minimum wage for all employees as well as a $1,000 bonus while Wells Fargo announced they will also raise their minimum wage to $15 an hour and will give $400 million in charitable donations next year:

This should be good news for the Democrats because they support a national $15 an hour minimum wage but of course they are silent because they want the government to mandate it instead of leaving it up to companies to determine what they can pay, this takes control away from the Federal government and they do not like it.

Comcast has announced they will give employees a $1,000 bonus and will invest $50 billion in their infrastructure:

Sure this is only four companies at this point but hopefully more will be following soon, this could just be the beginning.

At this point I feel compelled to mention the comments made by Nancy Pelosi, who called this tax cut monumental, brazen theft. She assumes that government money is government money while forgetting that government money is actually the taxpayers’ money taken from the people. Giving some of the money back to the people is not theft of government money, it is simply returning to the people more of the money they rightly earned.

Taxation is theft but somehow the Democrats have convinced their voters that lower taxes is a bad thing.

Lest we not forget poor Nancy became a multi-millionaire on a House rep’s salary which proves she’s almost as smart as the world’s smartest women, Pant Suit Lady. Surely the Botox queen can’t be wrong about all money, except that which she accumulated through payola and hawking government contracts, belongs to the government.

Yeah, maybe she is afraid the cash train is about to end. Didn’t Obama say at some point a person has enough money? I guess that doesn’t apply to people in the government.

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsIt is funny that two of these companies are financial. They are all to happy to add fees onto their customers to fund some socialis experiment. How about returning the money to their customer? For example Bancorp has 4 BILLIION in assets, so this pr ploy doesn’t materially affect them. More BS from our elites!
[In California] Over the past 30 years, minimum-wage increases have reduced employment, a new study shows [ California Dreamin’ of Higher Wages], and now, based on past data, a new $15 statewide minimum wage will cost the Golden State at least 400,000 jobs

I am leery of boosting the minimum wage like this but if individual companies think they can afford it and not lay people off then I say go for it.

Isn’t it interesting that the very people who rant about ‘unfairness’ and ‘rich people getting richer’ are the ones who are unfair and rich Dem*s and those you mentioned are the very ones sucking in more funds from sex trafficking and child exploitation. And that’s just stating the tip of the horrendous acts these sickos are involved in. The $$$$ is one thing but what they do to and allow to be done to child and people of all ages is unspeakable.
You’re right when you state too, “Democrats have convinced their voters ____” you could put anything ‘wrong and vile’ in there and that’s what they do – and Repub.s have their mental illnesses too (rino establishment). If Hilly had gotten in like they ‘believed’ because they had the Soros machines all set, sin would be so rampant what’s being exposed would become the norm and acceptable.
So, because things are getting turned around in the direction of what’s good and proper the Politician and even the Pope are calling the aliens to come (fallen aliens demons). But that’s whose been helping them for years anyway (Illuminati, deep state, freemasons) and those they serve. When the trafficking, gun and uranium dealing etc come down these very people who don’t have ankle bracelets yet, will, or maybe just have a ‘special place’ carved out for them. Good riddance. Stop the corrupt liars, dispose of ‘um.

Payoff to the senators from South Carolina who managed to deep six Trump’s pick for the Import-Export bank who planned on doing to it what the head of the EPA was doing. It will remain alive and well, passing out goodies to friends and relatives. Tim Scott and Lindsay Graham… thanks a bunch.

Thanks for this information. It seems that people are only opposed to stuff like this when it is not them who are getting the payoffs.

so companies get tax cuts in the billions and you are happy to get the scraps of a few million? At least with the government they answer to their electorate, we can make them do anything we wont if we can get enough people to vote. But these companies will do with the money what they will. And I can’t help but think of the trillions of dollars of dept that is hanging over the governments head and what might happen to the citizens if that anvil falls.

Isn’t it interesting though that the Feds collect trillions and spend more trillions than those trillions they collect on deadbeats and every foreigner, illegal or otherwise, they can dredge up from cesspools around the globe yet not a cent for COLA’s, these past two years, and I don’t mean the soft drink, for social security pensions earned by those who contributed their whole working lives.

It is a step in the right direction but I will not be happy until nobody is forced to pay Federal income taxes.
