Four Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies did not enter Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after reaching the scene

It is now being reported by CNN that four Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies who were first on the scene at least week’s shooting at Marjory High School took a defensive position outside the school and did not enter. Here is more:
When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.With direction from the Broward deputies who were outside, Coral Springs police soon entered the building where the shooter was. New Broward County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, and two of those deputies and an officer from Sunrise, Florida, joined the Coral Springs police as they went into the building.
I am not ready to condemn the actions (or inaction) of these men because I do not know what the standard procedure is. In situations like this the perimeter needs to be secured. Were these men under orders to secure the perimeter? Was it their job to secure the perimeter? Or was this a dereliction of duty? Those are the questions I have.
But at the same time it would seem to me that the first responders should have entered the building and the backup should be charged with securing the perimeter, and if the police who showed up at the scene really were surprised to find the deputies outside the building I think they probably should have entered the building.
Many mistakes seem to have been made in the months leading up to the shooting with the FBI ignoring 18 warnings about Nikolas Cruz over the course of 9 years, some of which warned them he “planned on shooting up the school” and I want to know if the Sheriff’s Deputies were the last mistake made during the shooting.
When something like this happens everybody suddenly thinks they are experts–just look at Facebook–but I make no such pretension. If these men should have entered the building but were under orders not to then the fault lies with the Sheriff, but if they were not under orders they are at fault.
The bottom line is this: I do not know. I guess I am asking for somebody who knows what the proper procedure is to educate me on what should have happened here with these Sheriff Deputies.

“In training, we teach officers their first priority when they arrive is to stop the killing,” said J. Pete Blair, a professor of criminal justice and director of the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training [ALERRT] Center at Texas State University in San Marcos.
“If there is an active shooter on scene, we train officers to ‘Isolate, distract, or neutralize’ the shooter as soon as possible,” Blair said.
Everthing changed after Columbine where they secured the perimeter first. This is why the Coral Springs Police officers are upset with the BSO officers for failing to enter the building.

The article I posted earlier alleges an agreement or cooperation between the school district and the police department to “reduce” the number of crime committed by students to show a “declining” trend in serious school problems. The year-to-year “decline” in student-related crime earned federal grant money for the district and an award for the superintendent as Florida’s most outstanding school administrator. I believe that this cooperation explains the lack of criminal charges brought against Cruz even after 39 visits by police. It could also explain the unwillingness of the 4 officers to engage the shooter. It looks like the children and the teachers were sold for money and fame.

That is a very interesting take! The fact that keeping grant money might be the reason why this wasn’t stopped is disgusting to say the least!

I can understand why the author thinks the police should have waited till the shooting and screaming stopped. After all procedures must never be ignored even at the sacrifice of 17 people

I think this is a similar Sandy Hook Drill sham made to be something it isn’t. Another Shadow Govt “deep state cabal” orchestrated drill.
Since there are SO MANY LIARS, in the police, Swat, media we can’t know what the truth is. They’re still unraveling the Vegas shooting, with multiple shooters, helicopters, other casinos with shooters being involved at the same time, hiding security vids – all of which show ‘cabal’ involvement.That was a FBI related ‘event’ as well.
I suggest the parents ‘sue the 1 world govt. leaders for it’! for emotional trauma – we don’t know for a ‘fact’ how many were really killed and the bullet holes in wall and computer are being shown to be fake (as at the TX church supposed shooting).
The school will soon be torn down and rebuilt using tax payers funds ~ like the Sandy Hook fake shooting drill and the TX church shooting (which still doesn’t have a truthful story of what happened ~ but the scene is sensationalized and props put up to ‘fabricate it’ before the church, along with ‘evidence’ torn down). Sandy = no killings. Vegas = killings but not as reported. TX church = were there really Proven deaths or was that fictitious like Sandy. FL Parkland shooting = conflicting stories, a Drill going on (once again at that time), many crisis actors, CNN Hogg shown on some vids as “practicing” his lines for his ‘acting’ performance. The sheriff, like the one at the Bundy Ranch ‘set-up’ for those wanting that property (Reid involved wheeling and dealing), positioned the scene for a “massacre” to bring in Martial Law to seize it all.
Those behind these ‘ruses’ staged PsyOps are to blame, crazy makers.

We never really get the true story do we? And it always changes over time. I still want to know who was behind the Vegas shooting but that story disappeared very quickly.

You raised a good question The incident caused me to reflect on what expectations we have of others that most of us care not to do ourselves. Then the outrage that they didn’t meet our expectations. How casually we expect the thin blue line and our military to sacrifice themselves with little or no reward. Wow…

Thanks Bunkerville, it is easy to attack these people but what we don’t know if they were under a stand down order. I think they might have been and if so the sheriff has some explaining to do.

The training for an active shooter (apparently Federal terminology) situation requires the first responders to engage, distract and neutralize the shooter. Do you follow orders or your training?
The BSO had an active shooter in Jan 2017 at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Though they stoped the shooter quickly the lack of communication led to a 15 hour disaster with passengers stranded on the tarmac.

There is a city school 25 miles north of Chicago that has a very scary similarity with the Broward County School – both the Superintendents were products of the very liberal Chicago Public School system. Please see/google the article below. What do you think?
