Bernie Sanders pays a $14,500 fine to the FEC for accepting Australian aid during the 2016 election

March 2, 2018

The investigation into alleged collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians has already uncovered the fact that Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee were working through Fusion GPS with a foreign agent, Christopher Steele, which lead to the mostly debunked Russian dossier. This dossier was used as partial justification to spy on Paul Manafort through a FISA warrant as well as “evidence” to kick off the investigation into the President.

Now we are learning in this story that Bernie Sanders has agreed to pay the Federal Election Committee $14,500 for accepting money during the 2016 campaign from an Australian political party, here is more:

Sen. Bernie Sanders‘s (I-Vt.) presidential campaign paid a $14,500 fine to settle a federal election complaint after an Australian political party paid for foreign volunteers to help Sanders during the 2016 presidential primary.

WMUR reported that the Sanders campaign agreed to settle with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) while not admitting fault for accepting assistance from the Australian Labor Party.

The party paid for flights and daily stipends for Australian volunteers to help out with Sanders campaign events, according to a copy of the “conciliation agreement” obtained by the news outlet.

As alluded to above, Bernie Sanders is denying any wrongdoing by claiming the campaign settled to avoid a drawn out court battle. And who knows, maybe he is telling the truth but that does not mitigate the point that as of now both major Democratic candidates were involved with foreign agents during the 2016 campaign.

For all of the talk by the Democrats and the mainstream media surrounding Donald Trump colluding with the Russians none of them seem to have a problem with the actual collusion which has been uncovered. I wonder why that is? The end justifies the means…at least in these two cases. Selective outrage at its finest…

Hat Tip to Bunkerville for finding this story.

      i hear you Bunker.
It seems these people are ‘bent’ on “wrong doings” rather than doing good.
Their definition of “good” isn’t the same as ours.
When we say do a ‘good job’ we understand it to be “Do the job you were elected and hired to do for the good of all.”
Their def: “Let’s do what benefits us, by using our position [attained by rigged voting] to use the America and the people – whoever else we can use – to get what we want for ourselves (regardless if the means are illegal or immoral) and “forward the ‘world’ Agenda” of total control and dominance.” To them ‘lawlessness’ is good when ‘their doing it’ but not good if anyone who isn’t ‘of them or is against them’ is doing it. Liars demand the truth from those they usurp over.
When it comes down to it, ‘these kind of people are treacherous, boring & a waste of precious time. #LockThemAllUP
Another reason to set our eyes on Heaven, none of them will be there if they continue serving the god of ruin.

I think you nailed the difference between us and them when it comes to the definition of good. They are serving themselves and only themselves and their reward will be on earth, while we seek a higher reward.

Mediocre is acceptable these days… the personal desire to excel just doesn’t exist for far too many people. I came from the school that one’s work was a reflection of oneself..but now, who cares.

Yep. Its like those who are ‘awake to some of the deception’ that’s been going on for years and others thinking (and belittling them) as being the ‘stupid’ ones.
So, how powerful the ‘deception is’ and people don’t think they have ‘OZ glasses on’ to even take off.
“… everyone in the Emerald City is made to wear green-tinted eyeglasses; this is explained as an effort to protect their eyes from the “brightness and glory” of the city, but in effect makes everything appear green when it is, in fact, “no more green than any other city”.”

You’re welcome! I am also running out of steam so I know ho you feel. It is getting harder to write every day and the passion is not there right now. I guess it is because it is becoming clear that no matter which party is in charge nothing is going to change.
