Republican lawmakers send criminal referrals to Jeff Sessions for Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Loretta Lynch

April 18, 2018

House Republicans have reportedly sent criminal referrals to Jeff Sessions for Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page. Here is more:

Republican lawmakers on Wednesday sent a slew of criminal referrals to Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a number of Obama administration officials and senior FBI employees for violations of the law in connection to the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations.

Specifically, they sent criminal referrals to Sessions for: former FBI Director James Comey, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, for separate violations.

“Because we believe that those in positions of high authority should be treated the same as every other American, we want to be sure that the potential violations of law outlined below are vetted appropriately,” said the letter.

They said Comey potentially broke the law when he chose not to seek charges against Clinton, for leaking classified memos of his conversations to President Trump to his friend Daniel Richman to give to the press, and for lying to lawmakers.

They said Clinton potentially broke the law when disguising payments to Fusion GPS, the firm that produced the Trump dossier, despite mandatory disclosures to the Federal Election Commission.

Lynch, they said, potentially broke the law when she threatened a former FBI informant, William Douglas Campbell, who had tried to come forward in 2016 with information related to the Uranium One deal that was approved in 2010.

McCabe potentially broke the law when he lied to investigators four times when questioned about a leak that he had arranged, they said.

Strzok and Page potentially violated the law by interfering in the investigation of Clinton’s private email server, they said. The letter cites a Wall Street Journal report that said their text messages to one another revealed FBI officials tried to eliminate evidence that Clinton had compromised high-level communications with then-President Obama.

I agree, these people should be held to the same standard as ordinary Americans, but does anybody really believe anything is going to come from this? Jeff Sessions has probably already sent these recommendations to the circular file.

The one possible exception could be Andrew McCabe after an FBI Inspector General report found he lied multiple times while under oath. This report will be hard to ignore by an honest Attorney General but we have Jeff Sessions so, as in the case with the others, I would not hold my breath waiting for justice.

Well good golly Miss Molly, are republicans allowed to acknowledge in public democrats’ high crimes and misdemeanors like this? Surely Schumer, Pelosi, McConnell, McCain et al won’t take this sitting down.

McCain is a better Republican than all the rest of them out together. A Republican in the mould of what a true Republican should be.

AG Sessions says he will not prosecute Clinton or any deep state criminals
    October 30, 2017 ( I won’t hold my breath Steve)

Judge Janine: …What can you do?

Chaffetz: Yeah, the State Department has been holding tens of thousands of documents on a case that they claim is closed. And when I met with Attorney General Sessions much like Ron DeSantis did, I basically got a stiff arm. I got an Attorney General that said he would not comply, he wasn’t going to do any sort of prosecutions and it’s such a huge difference. When he was a Senator he would have never put up with that.

Are there an ‘upright’ in the batch” any of real honor or virtue ~ Trump mentioned the ‘righteous.’ Who are they … where are they? Looks to be just more ‘knuckle draggers’ 🙃

Sessions is part of the swamp and they either have something on him or he just feels too much loyalty to them, it is a sickening situation!

Bring it on in my opinion and let’s see if there is any fire beneath the smoke – personally I don’t think so. But if the Republicans insist on doing this then all the more justification for the Mueller investigation to proceed its due course into collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

We can never forget that some animals are more equal than others. Hillary Clinton has taken John Gotti’s mantle as the Teflon Don.

As for the Russia Probe, the longer it goes on, the less I’m concerned that anything of significance will ever surface on Trump.

I followed Watergate in detail. In Watergate, bits and pieces kept surfacing pointing to Nixon’s guilt along with many members of his administration. Even before the Whitehouse Tapes came to light, the circumstantial evidence alone was overwhelming, not to mention John Dean’s testimony. I haven’t seen anything like that in the Russia case. There may be some technical violations among Trump’s team, but they don’t appear to be significant to anyone except the ones directly affected.

Unless Mueller has something up his sleeve that so far hasn’t even been rumored, I’m pretty sure Trump is going to be exonerated. It’s actually kind of amusing to watch it play out.

I was too young to remember what happened during Watergate but from what I do know I think you are right. It seems there really is nothing here in regards to Russia and I also think the longer this goes on the less worried I become.

Another little tidbit from the investigations. I’ve got a feeling that many former members of the Obama admin, including many in the Justice Department and FBI, are going to be in for a rough time in court.
