Donald Trump cancels North Korean summit

May 24, 2018

It is being reported here that Donald Trump has cancelled the North Korean summit. Here is more:

President Donald Trump wrote a letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un saying that their planned summit next month in Singapore was cancelled.

The meeting, which would have marked the first face-to-face encounter between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader, was set for June 12 in the southeastern Asian island city state.

“Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting,” Trump wrote in the letter, which was released Thursday morning.

Apparently this is in response to the statement North Korea made about Mike Pence earlier in the day while threatening to cancel the meeting themselves. Hopefully this is still just a little jockeying for position and something  can be worked out, but at the same time it all seemed too good to be true in the first place.

Good for Trump. It is truly refreshing to know our president, unlike Starbucks, refuses to be held up.

Many are being told to let Netflix know they don’t ‘approve’ of the ‘positive attention’ being given to not their real names (or gender) obamas to produce shows. The sickness (marketed as ‘good’)is promoted over healthy (spun as ‘bad’)spirits, minds, souls and bodies. The ‘way of the fallen world’ getting to wax worse like the times of Noah. God warned people via Noah, (and probably other ways too), but they didn’t listen nor turn to The LORD to be saved (in the ark). They cared more for the ‘world’ (lusts, selfishness and pride)instead of the Creator God who made everything and them.

I don’t know why the Libyan plan of dismantle had to be brought up.. then Pence has to go there again this weekend? Sorry, some negotiation needs to be done in private. Can’t think of the guy with the mustache, but he is no longer a T.V. commentator who can run off his mouth with whatever comes into his head…
I have always believed that the killing of Gaddafi sent the signal that to give up your nukes that can easily end your regime..I am sure Iran got it, take Syria too. Guess I am not with the program on this one.

You are thinking of Bolton I believe. Bolton and Pence seem to have thrown the monkey wrench into the system and at least in Bolton’s case I have to wonder if it was on purpose.

There are way too many people involved on both the US side and on the larger world side. This is really about the two Koreas figuring out the future.

With Trump you don’t know what is his real objective. Additionally foreign policy never appeared to be America’s strong suit. All the bellicose rhetoric has only clouded the issues,

It certainly seems to have on this issue just when it looked like we were making a little progress.
