North Korea and the United States back in talks about nuclear summit
After Kim Jong Un threatened to cancel the nuclear summit with the United States Donald Trump called his bluff and cancelled the meeting himself. Without waiting to see how this played out Democrats quickly hammered the President for not being ready for the summit. (Many of these same Democrats were calling the summit a bad idea in the first place, but let that go.)
Shortly thereafter North Korea released a statement saying the country would still like to sit down with the United States at some point in the future and today Donald Trump has responded:
And it also looks like the negotiations are starting back up:
It looks like yesterday was a day with two world leaders jockeying for position before the summit and if that is the case you would have to chalk this is up as win for Donald Trump. (It is interesting to note the Democrats seemed to be taking the side of Kim Jong Un yesterday.)
Of course nobody knows how this is going to play out but the situation does not seem as hopeless as it did yesterday and somehow I think I can actually hear the Democrats swearing under their breath…
malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium
LOL! We’re witnessing the actual negotiation between Trump and Kim Jong Un. When they finally get together, it will be just for drinks and photos.

I agree. We are watching this whole thing play out before our eyes but the Dems are too reactionary and don’t see what is going on because they are too busy looking for reasons to bash Trump. Meanwhile Kim Jong Un is basically giving Trump everything he is asking for.

It amazes me after all this time how many people still must not have read the Art of the Deal or news articles about his many business ventures. The master showman at work.

I think they are so interested in bashing everything he does that they are not seeing the bigger picture.

Well Steve, don’t they (demoncrafts) think of themselves as “The Big Picture” so anything ‘not about them’ is nothing.

I wouldn’t be surprised. The world needs a bogey man and with Saddam gone Kim Jong Un is the new one.

The world has real bogey men, Iran, China and Russia (in that order) for a starter.
Iran has already declared their plan for genocide.
China and Russia have made no bones about their future intentions. Even people who watch CNN know that much.
